Gabe didn't see the guys in front of the building. They had started to surround him, but by the time he noticed, it was too late. He saw them, and he tried to shove them away, but they wouldn't let him through.
"Hey! Stop shovin' man. I din't do nothin' to you. What yo doin' anyway?" one of the men said, obviously drunk. Gabe didn't respond to the drunk guy, so he kept shoving. They stumbled, but they wouldn't let him through.
"Let me through!" Gabe shouted at them. It was really dark, and this was a bad situation to be in, especially now. Gabe wasn't in the mood for this. He wanted to get away as soon as he could. He punched the first guy he saw in the face, and he tried to run as the man fell. But, he didn't get far.
Another guy came up to him, and punched him in the face. Gabe fell to the pavement. The last thing he saw before he blacked out was Chance punching all the guys in the face and taking them down. Gabe also saw Madison crying. He saw Brittany at his side crying too. Then, everything went black.
Gabe woke up in the hotel room, with Madison sitting beside him. She looked heart-broken, and sad. He didn't have much strength. He managed to say her name. She turned to him, and gave him a heart-broken look, and she turned away again. Brittany instantly got up and rushed to his side. She wasn't afraid to say what was on her mind.
"Gabe! Omigosh, I was so worried. What happened? All I know is that you left a note, and then you were on the pavement... Are you okay? You have a black eye." Brittany said, frantically. Gabe rolled his eyes. Brittany can be so dramatic sometimes. But, she did care, so he had to answer her.
"I'm good, thanks. But, I guess... God, this is weak... I had a breakdown I guess. I don't want to talk about it. Madison..." Gabe said, weakly. Nobody answered... Madison was ticked off really bad. Gabe was upset, and her being like this didn't help.
"Madison... I need to talk to you.... Please?" Gabe asked. She turned around to face him, and she nodded. Brittany and Chance walked out of the room.
"Look, Madison... I know I said things and you did too. I had a break-down, it's been too rough lately. I still love you, but we need to talk this over." Gabe said to her. She didn't say anything, but her expression softened a little.
"Yeah, we do need to talk this over. I just don't think things have been the same between us. I still think I have feelings for you, but I just don't know... Do you feel the same?" Madison asked him. Gabe didn't know what to say to her. This was hard for him, he had a lot on his mind.
" I know. I just... Yeah, I do feel the same... Things just aren't the same. What do you think we should do? I think you should decide." Gabe said. She nodded.
They apologized, and what they decided to do was try to do better, but if they couldn't get things back to the way they were, they'd break up. It was for the best...
Brittany and Chance walked in to see Madison and Gabe sitting together. They had made up, and that relieved Chance and Brittany. They had been worried about their friends, and seeing them upset, it scared them a little. But, now that Gabe and Madison had made up, everything was back to normal.
"So, you guys made up?" Chance asked Gabe. Gabe nodded. Madison leaned her head on Gabe's shoulder. He held her closer. Maybe he was totally wrong about their lack of feelings for each other. It wasn't true, they were as close as ever. It was getting later in the evening, so they got ready for bed.
Nobody said a word that evening. The door was locked, and nobody was in the mood to say much. They just laid there beside each other, and tried to sleep. But, nobody could sleep that night.
