Flight 295 to London, United Kingdom. 25 of November 2012. 2:30 PM
"Now, are you two absolutely sure you packed everything you need? Toiletries? Clothes? Extra pairs of underwear?"
"Mum! We're positive that we have everything." Louis chuckles softly, listening to his mum ramble on non-stop. "No need to worry."
"Sorry.. I just don't want my baby heading off to London and not having everything he'll need." She had a sad smile on her face.
Louis put down his carry-on suitcase and wrapped his mum up in his arms. He wasn't that much taller than her. Louis heard the woman's soft sniffles into his chest, his hand rubbing up and down her back in comfort.
"I'll be fine mum. Everything is under control. I have Niall with me, although I'm not sure how much good that'll do." Louis looks up at his best friend, giving him a cheeky smile.
"Aye! You wouldn't even be on this plane to London if I didn't make you go to that audition. I've done something productive in me life." The blonde protested, his arms crossed over his chest.
"And you know I can't thank you enough for that Nialler." Louis smiles.
"No need to thank me. You're the one who got yourself here with your talent."
Louis blushed lightly, looking down to try and hide it. The shorter boy then stepped out of the hug with his mother, standing at his suitcase once again.
"Flight 295 to London will be boarding now." A woman's voice spoke over a loud speaker.
"That's your flight." Niall's dad said, his arm wrapped around his wife's shoulders, bring her into him in a side hug.
Niall and Louis looked at each other with nervous smiles.
"You ready Tommo?"
Louis let out a breath, trying to calm down his upcoming nerves. "Ready as I'll ever be." He states.
Niall gives a final hug to both of his parents, same with Louis, before wrapping an arm around Louis' shoulder as they make their way to the terminal. The calls of goodbyes came from behind them, and they called back while they handed their tickets to the lady behind the desk.
The boys watched and waited as the young woman read over the ticket information, before she scanned it and handed it back to the boys. "Business class. Just show you're tickets to the attendants and they will show you to your seat." She smiles warmly at the two boys, then continuing on with her business on the computer.
The boys didn't even realize they had business class tickets. When they read over the tickets themselves their eyes widened.
"How did we not read that part?" Niall chuckled.
They boys walked through the terminal, showing their tickets to the attendants at the door, who then showed them to their seats. Surprisingly to Louis and Niall, there was no one else in this section of the plane, yet there were few more empty seats.
The two got comfy, sinking into the plush chairs.
"Ahh... much better than any economy seat." Niall noted, leaning back and closing his eyes.
Louis nodded in agreement. "True that."
Before the boys got too comfortable, they locked away their carry on suitcases. Louis took out his head phones from the case.
"This still honestly feels like a weird dream to me." Louis said, plopping down on his chair.
"Well, I guess we've got to start believing it, because this is defiantly not a dream Lou." Niall smiled
"Maybe it'll settle in when we hit London. Or not.. most likely not." Louis laughs softly.
A few minutes later, the plane was off the ground and the boys were a couple hours closer to their soon to be reality.
When the boys stepped off the plane and collected their suitcases, they finally took in that they were actually in London. They look around the busy airport, noticing a few families standing around, and hugs being given. It was close to Christmas so families would now start coming home for the special day.
"London..." Louis muttered more to himself. This was still a dream to him.
Niall elbowed Louis' side lightly, making the shorter boy turn and face him.
Niall pointed towards a nicely dressed man, with what looked like security next to him. "There's the man that's picking us up." Niall said.
Louis noticed the sign the man was holding that wrote 'Tomlinson + Horan'. Louis nodded to Niall, and the two boys made their way over to the two men.
"H-Hi. We're Horan and Tomlinson." Louis spoke, a little nervous.
The nicely dressed man nodded, reaching over and taking Louis and Niall's bigger suitcases. "Nice to meet you two. I'll be driving you guys today." The man gave a smile. "I'll just take your bags to the car."
Niall and Louis nodded, watching him walk away. They were brought back from their gazes when the other man began to speak.
That's when Louis realized who this security guard was. It was Paul freaking Higgins. Both boys, but mostly Louis, tried to keep their fanboying inside.
"Hello boys!" Paul smiled at them.
"Hey Paul." Niall replied. Louis stayed quiet, too shy to talk. He will forever hate that trait about him.
The three of them walked out to the car, Paul keeping a look out. Although Niall and Louis weren't publicly known yet, paparazzi heard the news about the two new One Direction band members that were flying in today.
"Are you boys excited?" Paul asked.
Niall and Louis nodded, smiles wide on their faces.
"Absolutely buzzin'!" Niall exclaimed, laughing softly.
They made it to the car, well, it was actually one of the vans that Niall and Louis see the boys use to get around.
They got inside and were told where they were heading.
Modest! Management's office.
After an hour and twenty minutes, Niall and Louis were both sat on a sofa in front of a glass desk. Behind the desk sat the head of the management, and Louis would admit that he was a little scared at that very moment.
Niall kept noticing every time Louis would shake or freeze with nerves. So he kept close to the boy on the sofa to try and keep him calm.
The boys had to listen for a little while about how their management worked and what would be happening while they were part of the band. Louis was fiddling with his sweater sleeve hems the whole time.
Soon enough they were handed a contract that they had to read through. Although, Louis' wasn't handed to him so... gently.
Louis noticed at times when the man behind the desk would look at him, it was a different look to what he was giving his best friend. Almost like it was a disapproving look. It made Louis shrink into the sofa even more, feeling a little uncomfortable and shy under the man's gazes.
Louis and Niall read through their contracts carefully, you probably wouldn't want to skip past something important in this industry.
As Louis read through, he took notes at the different points in the contract.
-Must attend any planned appearances/events unless approved by management to not attend.
-Don't interact with paparazzi unless instructed or for a reason
-Any serious relationships must be notified to the management.
The list went on, Louis could hardly remember some of it.
"Any questions regarding the contracts?" The man asked the boys, looking to each of them.
Louis read over the final part of the contract, his brows rising. He took a quick look to Niall's contract, as he was on the final page as well, and noticed how what was said in his contract was not in Niall's contract.
-If the management/band feel you are not suited/fitted to be a part of the band One Direction, or if fans disapprove/dislike, actions can or will be taken place, and removal/replacement may be needed.
Why was this on Louis' contract but not Niall's?
When Louis heard the man ask if there were any questions, he wanted to ask about that. But he kept his mouth closed. Maybe it just said that somewhere else in Niall's contract.
The boys soon signed their names to paper and handed them in.
It was official. They were officially part of One Direction. Was this actually happening?
They shook hands with the man, which they only just realized was named Marco, when they read the plaque on the side of the desk.
Marco gave Louis a bit of an uninterested look when Louis shook his hand. It made the boy nervous. Was something wrong with him? Has he made the wrong first impression?
When Niall and Louis were finally out of the big office, Niall was jumping up and down with excitement, a massive smile on his lips. Louis would be the same, if he wasn't still on edge that is. But he did smile lightly, because he was just as excited as Niall was.
They were then faced with Paul again, a smile on the man's face.
"So boys, ready to meet the others?"
This is a little shorter, and less interesting, than the other chapters, but I just needed to add that last part in there! :)
Everytime I write something bad or mean about Louis, it hurts because obviously i'm lying! But, I'm doing it for the story!
Also, would you like a really long chapter next? I'm writing it now and it is going to be way over my usual chapter limit.
Anyway, have a lovely day!
