48. 32.i - Midnight's Introduction
After the death of their sister, any record of Aruj Rogue and Burke Rogue subsequently disappeared.
Aruj disappeared entirely while there are some records of Burke Rogue, but these are of a very weak and unreliable nature.
One of the many paradoxes is that - though he had a child and a named consort - Burke Rogue is a known member of the Chess Pieces and Chess Pieces don't allow any relationships of a sexual nature regardless of rank. Furthermore, Burke's son - Kidd Rogue - carried his father's name, which leads us to the more obvious conclusion that Burke's relationship was a legitimate marriage rather than a random or prolonged fling.
It's possible that Burke may have joined the Chess Pieces after marriage, but this again is unclear and I am uncertain that the Chess Pieces accept married recruits - as such men and women would have priorities and responsibilities constantly distracting them.
One thing is for certain - the motive for Burke Rogue joining the Chess Pieces is definitely because of the murder of his sister and aged father at the hands of the Redcoats.
