I didn't return downstairs to my food, I wasn't hungry anymore.
Instead I texted Sav telling her what Dr. Iris' assistant had said and that I had to go back tomorrow.
She didn't reply, probably busy with her little brother.
I sighed pulling my blanket around me. In a way I felt relieved that there wasn't a tiny life growing inside me. But then not, I could've had a beautiful baby with blue eyes and curly blond hair. He or she would've smiled up at me everyday knowing that I'd always love and protect them. I smiled at the thought.
What would he or she have looked like? What would their personality be like?
I shook my head, it didn't matter. Nothing was growing in me, that little person didn't exist, and probably never would-
I light knock on my door shoved me out of my thoughts.
"Come in." My voice was shaky.
A blond head popped through the doorway, then his whole body. He was carrying a plate of food.
He shut the door behind him before sitting in front of me on my bed.
"I brought your food. It might be a little cold though." He set the plate of untouched food in front of me.
"Thank you, but I'm not really hungry."
He nodded staring at the painted stars on my dark blue ceiling. "Downstairs, when you said-"
I cut him off "Don't worry about it Luke. It doesn't matter."
He looked back at me "Please. I need to know if it has anything to do with me. If I can fix it."
I looked away "You can't. What's done is done." I didn't want to lie to him.
"Please? What did I do?" He looked so sad.
"I thought I was pregnant." I whispered.
"I so sorry." Luke said unexpectedly pulling me into his arms.
"There's nothing you could've done. You didn't know." I tried to pull away but Luke only ended up lifting me to his lap instead.
"Is there anything I can do now?" He asked.
