The next day I woke up alone in my bed to my phone buzzing somewhere in the mess of blankets.
A picture of Savannah with a bunny costume sticking her tongue out was plastered across the screen.
"Hey" I said laying back on my pillow.
"So we need to get an appointment to see." She said without so much as a hello.
"Huh? What the hell are you talking about?" I asked my brain still foggy from sleep.
Savannah's got really quiet as if she were whispering. "Your pregnancy thing."
A fresh wave of sadness washed over me. "Oh my god. I can't believe I forgot."
"I'll meet you at yours in twenty so we can go to the clinic." Savannah said before hanging up.
I fought tears the whole time I was getting ready to leave.
When I got downstairs Ashton and Luke sat on the couch talking about band stuff.
Luke stood when he saw me coming to stand in front of me he placed his hand on my cheek. "Are you okay Katrina?"
I flinched away stepping back. "Yeah." I couldn't meet his eyes, I knew if I did I'd start crying again. Plus my brother was standing a few feet away.
"Where you headed to?" Ash asked coming to my rescue. "I thought you wouldn't want to go anywhere after yesterday. What happened anyway?"
"Nothing." I snapped making him flinch. "Sorry, it's just that time of the month." I lied. "Savannah wanted me to go with her to an interview. Some fashion internship thing or something."
"Are you sure you're alright?" Luke said softly.
I nodded hearing they mustang pull up announcing Savannah's arrival. "I have to go." I slipped on my converse and went to her blue car trying to fake a smile.
"You're going to be fine Trine. I'll be with you the whole time." She held my shoulder as we sat in the white room waiting for the doctor to return.
I nodded trying to smile but failed.
The doctor came back with a clipboard and pen. "We'll contact you in a few days with the results. But it may be a bit soon to tell."
I nodded as she kept talking. "I want you to come back in a few days to do this process again. As I said it may be too early to tell, we want you to be certain." She paused "If you tell the receptionist your name and ask for me then you'll be able to skip most of the wait."
"Thank you" I said shakily.
