11. Ditching Dates & Denials
Disclaimer: I do not own austin and ally
(3 months after Ally's mom's death)
At school 1st period
It's been 3 months since ally's mom died, and she's still depressed. But, can you blame her? It was really hard for me to deal with it too. It actually took me a whole year to get over it. So I understand how she feels. Every time I ask her on a date, she denies, leaving me there with a feeling of sorrow and empathy for her. But one day, I didn't try, and that's when she finally spoke up.
"Hey, austin." She said sweetly. I was shocked at first but answered. "Hey, so why, no offense, are you talking to me? I mean you've been avoiding me and canceling our dates ever since the day at the lake after your mom's funeral." Ally looked down and then back up again to say, "I'm sorry, it's just, ever since my mom died, I've just been really depressed. I'm sure you know that." I nod. The bell rings, but neither of us moved until everyone was in their classes. I pulled ally down to sit next to me on the bench. Another way of saying 'continue'. So she did. "But that's not the only reason. My dad got in a car accident when he was on his way to one of his conventions." A tear ran down her face, but she didn't dare move even a centimeter. "He's in the hospital now, but, the hospital is all the way in Loakland which is like 110 miles from here, so I can't go and see him. I don't have a car." I gave her a small smile that said, 'im sorry'. I gave her a hug and found her accepting it along with a faint cry. She let go and I said, "If you want, I can drive you down there to see if he's alright." "Yeah, that would be great, thank you." I gave her a hug and quick kiss and then I went to my class.
