1. Chapter 1: The Hail Storm

If you knew it would be your last day with your mom or dad, you would have stopped to say bye or even given a hug. But my ride was speeding down the street, so I ran.

"Hey man, took you long enough." My best friend, Jack, joked as I got in the car.

"You took your time. Come on we're going to be late." I rolled my eyes.

I reached to lean my chair back, like I did every day, when I hear a little noise. Tink, tink, tink. I turn to Jack, raising an eyebrow.

"Do you hear that?" I ask, turning down the radio.

"Aww man that was my favorite-" he broke off and listened closely.

"You hear it right? It isn't just me?"

Suddenly he swerved straight into the Arrowhead mall hat was too our right. He pushed me out and back up. I watched as he helped kids put of a bus that was behind us. Then I saw an   arm of a girl. I ran out and into the mega hail storm, as I call it.

"Jack! Wait here is someone still in there!" I yelled she running to the bus. I heard crying and saw twins staring at the girls body. I understood. She was dead. I scooped he twins into my arms and bolted out of the bus and back into the mall.
