9. 2,000,000,000 AD (Alternativly, Life Will Find a Way)
The bacterium had made copies of itself and evolved over billions of years. A species similar to early forms of Homo sapiens had arisen the same place fire was first discovered. They were barely surviving in radiation-ridden wasteland. At the crest of a hill was a single nuclear bomb from a war nothing remembered. The animals on the planet knew one thing; it could not eat them, they could not eat it, so they left it alone.
One hominid was different; he had a spark of something. Curiosity, intelligence, boldness, things that defined the ill-fated humans.
A green wispy light flew down the sky and circled them. They took no notice of it. One hominid was climbing up the hill and inspecting the bomb. The light followed the strange hominid and made a crack shape under the bomb. The hominid dug out the bomb and saw the crack. He held onto the bomb and fell through the crack, screeching. Just before the explosion happened, the crack closed and returned to space. Before his essence faded from existence, ArtIntel looked upon the life that had sprung from the bacterium he had spared.
Maybe. Just maybe...
