"How could such a bright girl like you be pregnant?" asked my dad, pacing back in forth in front of me.
"I didn't mean for it to happen. I was on birth control." I said.
"You were on birth control, and you didn't tell me?" asked my mother, sitting in the chair across from me.
"I knew you would act like this." I said.
"How am I supposed to act? You said you were going to wait till marriage." she said, standing up.
"I didn't plan on it happening, it just did. If I could take it back I would, but I can't." I said.
"How far along are you?" she asked.
"Who's the father? Is it Sean?" asked my mom.
My parents had no idea about that Sean and I broke up or that I dated Luke. I can't let them know it's him.
"Tell us who the father is, right now." said my dad.
"It is Sean." I lied.
"There's only one way to fix this then." he said.
"You have to marry Sean." he said.
"What?! I am not marrying Sean." I said, jumping up.
"So, you aren't keeping the baby?" asked my mom.
"No, I am, but I'm doing it alone." I said.
"The hell you are, you don't have any say in this matter." said my dad.
"Yes, I do. I won't marry Sean."
"Then get out of my house." he said.
"What?" I asked, tears forming in my eyes.
"Steve! You can't do this." said my mom.
"We have another daughter here, Karen, and we can't let her be exposed to this. You have 1 hour to pack and be out." he said.
I wiped up my tears and went to my room. I got a bag together and began to put clothes in it.
"Lexi, are you leaving?" asked Bella from the doorway.
"Yeah." I said, sniffing a little bit.
"Is Sean really the dad or is it Luke?" she asked.
"You know about that?"
"Yeah. It was all over twitter."
"Yes, Luke is the father." I said, finishing up packing the rest of my clothes.
"Does he know?" she asked.
"No, I didn't tell him about it." I said.
"I didn't want to ruin his life." I said.
"What about yours?"
"I probably wasn't going to do anything that special with my life anyway." I said.
"What about school?" she asked.
"I'll still go, but I probably won't go anywhere out of town." I said.
"Have you thought about not keeping the baby?" asked Bella.
"Yes, but it's just not the right thing for me. I have to keep it." I said.
"Then I want you to have this." she said, handing me a wad of money.
"Where did you get all of this? How much is there?" I asked, shocked.
"Six hundred dollars, it's all my birthday and Christmas money from the last three years."
"I can't take this." I said, trying to hand it back to her.
"Take it." she said, pushing it back at me and then walking out the door.
I stood there shocked for a minute, then put the money in my bag and walked downstairs.
"Alexa, wait." said my mom, as I started to walk out the door.
"What is it?"
"Why can't you just marry Sean? It would be so much easier." she said.
"I don't love Sean and I never take the easy way out, you know that." I said, walking out.
"So they just threw you out?" asked Bailee.
I was sitting with her and her mother in her living room.
"I'm so sorry Alexa and you can stay here as long as you like." said Mrs. Gonzalez.
"Thank you so much. I hope I won't be a bother." I said.
"Of course not. You are like family to us, you know that. I will go set up Hunter's old room for you." she said getting up and walking out.
"Your parents must of flipped when they found out that it's Luke's baby." said Bailee.
"I actually didn't tell them it was his." I said.
"I told them it's Sean's." I said.
"What?! Oh my god, Alexa!"
"I panicked. I don't want it getting out that it's Luke's baby. It could ruin his life." I said.
"What about Sean?" asked Bailee.
"I just have to talk to him before he hears it from somebody else." I said.
Just then there was a knock at the door. Bailee got up to answer it and it was Sean.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, standing up.
"I need to talk to you." he said.
"Okay." I said.
"Alone." he said, looking at Bailee.
"Can you give us a minute?"
"Sure." she said, leaving the room.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Your parents called me earlier." he said.
"Yeah, they seemed pretty upset. I don't blame them though, their perfect daughter being pregnant and all." he said.
I didn't say anything, so he kept going on.
"I think it's funny that it's mine since we never even slept together." he said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get you mixed up in all this." I said.
"Luke Hemmings is the dad right?" he asked.
"You knew about that?"
"Everyone knew about it." he said.
"Right, so did you tell them that it's not you?" I asked.
"No, I wanted to talk to you first." he said.
"So now what?" I asked.
"Does this guy even know that you're pregnant?" asked Sean.
"No, I don't want him to know." I said.
"I don't want to ruin his life." I said.
"Don't you think he has a right to know?" he asked.
"No, I can't tell him." I said.
"What are you going to do?" he asked.
"I'm going to keep it."
"So you're going to do this all on your own?" he asked.
"I'll have Bailee and her family. That's all the support I need." I said.
"I want to help too." he said.
"What do you mean?"
"I'll tell people it's mine."
"What? You can't do that?"
"I want to. You're one of my closest friends, we've known each other forever." he said.
"What about you're parents?" I asked.
"It'll be okay, they won't go all crazy with it like your's did." he said.
"So you're sure you want to do this?" I asked.
"Yeah, no one will know that it's his baby." said Sean.
