“There is no way that we are going anywhere Sir.” Mistress hissed and Dill was already had a dark look in his eyes that I could see right then from where I was at.
“Then if you are going to refuse then I guess I have no choice then to manhandle you in Nacy.” Mr. Sorrow hissed as he quickly grabbed her wrist and I can hear her shriek from my spot. Dill jumped into action with Mirin right behind him separating Mistress from Sorrow and crushing his hand into the doorframe.
Mr. Sorrow glanced passed them and we locked eyes for a second and then he pulled his hand back quickly. “Fine!” He breathed as he rubbed his wrist where it had been smashed. “I will leave your abode but I will be back and find you when you least expect it Nacy, This goes to every one of you all! I know every one of you are hiding something!” He threatened before he turned to walk down the steps.
The air felt tense after that as Dill slammed the door to where we can hear every frame and shelved item move. He turned around with one of those facial expressions that let your read that he needed that kind of stress reliever before he took the anger out of Mr. Sorrow.
“Thank you Dill, As well as you Marin, for protecting me but all honesty I was trying to be hush.” She chimed the sweet lie from her lips to their ears. Dill and Marin didn’t buy the sentence as both of them still looked tense while Dill moved to the window to be sure that he wasn’t spying on them.
I smiled thinking that that was showing true respect for mistress since most Avoxes would let their owners suffer greatly instead of protecting them like Dill and Marin did just a second ago. I felt a slight flutter happening inside me as I couldn’t stop watching Marin for a moment as he was going around all the windows as well checking for Mr. Sorrow.
Mistress on the other hand was looking like she just wanted to grab something and forget this running with Sorrow. She sat back down on the sofa as the last of the windows were scanned.
“Why is she had defended us?” I wrote and showed Catre my question and she seemed to know what I was saying as this time she grabbed her notebook and wrote down two words that told me everything from the last few events that was shown here.
Those two words brought me back to last night at the building. Mistress was in hiding with Catre, me and everyone else that is an Avox here since she is giving us these privileges and rights like she had escaped the place before which made me wonder if my assumption was true since I just noticed that Mistress has fire like hair for today instead of her orange when I first met her which means she likes to die her hair like everyone else.
“Catre, what was Mistress’s hair color?” I asked her by the way of my pen.
“I am not sure,” Catre slowly said as if she was hinting something tariffing as I can hear the projector chime the announcer’s words that she seems to say every year.
“May the odds be ever in your favor.”
