2. Morning Madness
Monday morning. That meant crawling out of bed half asleep at 6 to shower and dry her hair, pull on some unattractive Michigan winter weather clothes and put on the most minimal amount of makeup before eating breakfast with her dad and brother and going to school.
She walked downstairs, wearing some black jeans, a long sleeve white shirt and hoodie, her face only having eyeliner, mascara and very light powder on it and her brown mess of hair in a bun so her natural curls were completely hidden, to the smell of pancakes and sickly sweet syrup.
Her dad was sat at the table in his usual work clothes for teaching at Madisyn and Ryder's high school, reading his paper and marking work at the same time and Ryder was sat stuffing his face whilst probably texting his girlfriend, Chelsea or his best friend, Marcus.
"Morning sweetheart, what'll it be? Pancakes or lucky charms?" Evan asked, hugging his daughter. "I'll just grab some cereal." She answered, grabbing her pink striped bowl and pouring in the golden and technicolor cereal into it, adding a splash of milk the colour of the snow on their lawn. They all sat down together when the radio suddenly declared that the schools in the area were shut so Ryder wailed as he wouldn't see Chelsea for one whole day and Madisyn and Evan cheered as it meant they could put their pjs and watch their favourite old movies together.
As Ryder stomped upstairs, probably to skype Chelsea, send her a few pictures to show what she was missing (believe me he would as Madisyn had caught him and seen them one to many times) and go back to sleep, before joining them back downstairs to watch movies. All in all, mornings were madness in the Hall house.
