“You got to be kidding me! He actually followed you all the way to the mall?” Fiona asked me as we walked down the hallway. She was wearing a cute red shirt with a thin white jacket. The color of her shirt made her blond hair shine. She has lovely brown eyes that always seem to brighten the day. I always told her that she looked pretty. But she never believed that! As for me, I have white blond hair and big cat like blue eyes. I don’t do much with my looks. I was wearing a pink oversized woolen shirt with white Minnie shorts and black sneaker shoes. My casual look.
“Yes. Can you believe it? I think he is up to something.” I told her. “He is definitely up to something! But you know the strange part? You are the only girl he ever spoke to that way! They never bully a girl physically. But they sometimes prank us.” Fiona said. “Well, let’s hope he doesn’t prank me. Or else I am going to kick his ass!” I told her. Fiona laughed. “You really hate him, don’t you?” she asked me. “You got to be kidding me! Who would like a bully?” I asked. “Uh… everyone else but us?!” Fiona replied. That made me laugh. “But seriously, be alert okay? I don’t want you t get hurt by them.” Fiona said. “Of course. You too. Just tell me if anyone is bothering you.” I replied. She nodded and jogged off to history class. I had biology next so I went up to my locker to get my stuff. Then, someone tapped me on the back.
I turned around. “Oh, hi Dave!” I greeted. “You remember me!” he said. I laughed. “Of course I do.” I replied. Dave was short and a bit chubby. He has curly red hair, big ears and freckles all over his cheeks and nose. He has small eyes with large round specs. His voice sounded a bit funny when he talked.
“Did he do anything to you?” he asked, looking around. “Who?” I asked. “Tyler! Who else? After you said all of those things to him, did he do anything?” he asked. “Well, he hasn’t done anything bad… yet. But he followed me to the mall yesterday.” I told him. “What? Then don’t pay any attention to him! He might do something! Don’t even talk to him okay?” he said in a tensed voice. “Uh… okay…” I replied. “Does he always bully you?” I asked him. “Not that often. But he does.” He replied. “Is it really bad?” I asked. “Well. They mostly embarrass people in front of everyone. Then the rest of the students pick on us, as if following his commands.” He explained. “Then, the rest of the students are also playing a part in the bullying.” I said. “No! That’s what he wants you to think! Just ignore them. That’s the best way to be safe.” He said. I just stood there, not knowing what to say. Is he telling the truth? He sounds very serious. But why does he keep talking and talking about them bullying all the time? It’s a bit annoying.
“Look, I have to go to class now…” I said. “Oh, did I bore you? I am sorry! I must be talking about them too much, right?” he asked. Finally he noticed that himself. “Ha-ha… no.” I lied. “I just have to go to class. So… uh… bye!” I said and walked away.
When I realized that class was cancelled, I changed my direction towards the library. Fiona was still in class so I decided to get a good book to kill sometime. Hopefully, Tyler is not going to be there because he will also be in class now.
After choosing a book from the back shelf, I sat down at a table and began to read. After a moment, I lowered my book to look around. My eyes landed on the huge door which leads to Tyler’s master study room. Man, he is some annoying guy. When I met him first, he is nice and kind of cute. After I knew he was Tyler, well, he didn’t really change, did he? He is still kind of nice and funny, right? Then why do I think he is annoying and hate him so much? Why did I feel different when he caught me as I lost my balance? Why did he follow me all the way to the mall? Wait! Why am I even thinking about him right now? I snapped out of my thoughts and realized that my palms and my feet have gone cold. No. he is bad and spoiled. That’s why I hate him! I thought and went back to my book.
“You must be Luna.” Someone all of a sudden said. I lowered my book and was startled to see a guy sitting across the table. “Uhh… do I know you?” I asked him. “I am James. And this is Kenneth. We call him ken. We are the rest of the Morte gang he introduced him and the guy standing next to him. The one sitting looked fair, with straight brown hair, spiky at the end and grey eyes. He was also dressed rich and looked cool. The one standing had a bit longer wavy honey brown hair and dark eyes. He was tall and was also dressed rich but had a bit of bad boy twist to it.
“To be honest, you are a remarkable person, Luna.” James said. “What makes you say that?” I asked. “You are the only one who stood up against Tyler during our entire school life. You have changed him a lot.” He said. “But I haven’t done anything to change him.” I told them. “He has stopped teasing people, stopped picking on kids. And above all, he has been controlling his anger. He never did those things before. Not only that, but he has changed a lot in many ways.” Ken explained sitting down. “I think his majesty fancy you, Luna” James said. “Excuse me?” I blurted out in surprise. “Yeah. That’s the only explanation according to his behavior changes. I am pretty impressed by you.” James replied. “I am glad he is changing. We also didn’t like that behavior of his.”
“Um… I have nothing to do with you guys, but I am glad that he has stopped picking on others!” I told them. I mean, what’s there to say? I haven’t done anything to change him! “You seem really different from the rest of the students. Haven’t you ever heard of us?” James asked. “Of course I know you guy’s way long ago!” I replied. “Then how come you are not so excited that we are sitting here, talking to you?” he asked. “Why should I be so excited? I mean, it’s the same as any other person talking to me. Isn’t it?” I replied smiling. James looked at ken. They both grinned. “You’re really nice. We look forward for more of your special techniques on Tyler!” he said and got up to leave. I was still confused. “Wow. She is one cool girl. It’s like we are not popular when around her!” I heard ken say.
“Techniques? What are they talking about?” I asked myself silently. They are not only filthy rich. But they are kind of weird too! I have nothing to do with Tyler. Good for him if he is changing.
Ken and James walked into their private dining area built just next to the cafeteria. It was exclusively made for the Morte group and very high class.
“That girl is actually very impressive.” Ken said, sitting down on the comfy, large, circular sofa in the center of the room. “She doesn’t act all excited, hyper and go over with adoring us unlike the rest of the students. She is different alright!” he said. James came over with two drinks. “She has brought big changes to Tyler, and she literally didn’t do anything, and hates him at the same time!” James said. Ken laughed. To them, Luna’s actions seem pretty amusing. No one ever treated the group so equally and normally. Others go crazy over them when they arrive, cheering, waving and screaming like mad!
Just then, Tyler entered the room. “Where have you two been?” he asked. “Oh, just had a small meeting with someone special. Nothing much.” James replied, grinning. “Special who?” “Luna, The one and only person who stood up against us.” Tyler turned to them. “Isn’t she in class?” he asked. “Her class was cancelled. Man, she really is something else!” ken replied. “Too bad she hates you so much!” said James. Chuckling, Tyler walked up to the dart board hanging on the wall and picked up several darts. “That’s a way of expressing that she likes me. Don’t you get it? She doesn’t want to show it, thinking it will lure me in.” Tyler replied, pretending to be a body language expert. Ken and James laughed silently, knowing that Tyler have no idea how wrong he is. Sometimes, Tyler thinks he is smart and makes the stupidest choice. Especially when it comes to these kinds of situations.
“All I have to do is just get a little bit of her attention. Then I am sure it will go smooth!” he said, shooting a dart directly at the center of the dart board. In the first place, Tyler liked the fact that Luna don’t go over crazy when she sees him. He liked the fact that she is nicer and more elegant than the rest of the snobby, greedy, selfish girls in the school. They all care about being so perfect and going overly crazy about them. That’s why he was never interested in girls. But after he moved to this session, he has found someone rather unique. Unfortunately for him, Luna doesn’t like even a single bone in his body.
