"Go upstairs and get changed. There should be a swim suit for you on the bed," Louis said, walking towards one part of the house he hadn't showed me.
"Okay, sir," I said.
I went upstairs and, just like Louis had said, there was a tiger print string bikini waiting for me on the bed. I put it on. It barely covered my butt, but I wasn't going to complain.
I walked down the steps to find Louis in white swim trunks. The white made him look even tanner than he usually was. I smiled, taking him in.
He returned a smile, looking me up and down. I blushed.
"You look stunning," he said.
"Thank you," I replied.
"Now, this way," Louis said as he led me down the hallway. "The hot tub is right down here..." He opened a door to the right and inside was an indoor pool, glowing against the white ceiling. The hot tub had glowing lights in it, that changed from green, to pink, to blue, making the whole room shine.
He led me over to the hot tub. "What temperature would you prefer? It can go from 80 to 110."
I shook my head in disbelief. "Uh, 95 is good for now, sir," I said, bringing back the name I was told to call him.
Louis cranked up the knob and pressed a button, which turned on the jets. "Ladies first, he said, ushering me down the steps and into the hot tub. I sat down on the bench attached to the wall of the hot tub and waited for him to get in. He eased himself in, then took a seat next to me. He put his hand on my inner thigh, sending chills up my spine.
It was silence, until Louis said, "Are you okay with going to the auction house tonight? I know you probably didn't like it there, so if you want-"
"No," I interrupted him, "I would like to go. Your friend needs support and I want to make sure my friends have been auctioned off."
"Great," he smiled. He stared into my eyes, and for a moment I thought he was going to kiss me. But instead of leaning in, he turned away.
After about an hour of relaxation and talking, I learned many things about Louis. His mother died when he was little. After his mother died, his dad was too depressed to do anything. They ended up going bankrupt. Then he lived with his grandparents in Chicago. Once Louis was old enough, he moved to New York to pursue his dreams of becoming a lawyer. He was to graduate from law school next year.
He had known Liam and Niall since they were teens because they both had lived near Louis's grandparent's house. He met Liam at law school, and Zayn was one of Liam's friends. They're all good friends now.
Louis got out of the hot tub and said, "I'm leaving to run some errands, I'll be back in two hours. You should be ready by then. When I get back, I'll get changed and then we'll leave."
"Okay," I said, stepping out of the hot tub.
Without another word, Louis disappeared to our room. "Great," I muttered. I had no idea what to wear for tonight's special event.
An hour and forty five minutes later, I had showered, curled my hair, and done my make up, but still had no idea what to wear. After picking through the whole closet, I narrowed it down to three options. A tight aqua blue, cocktail dress with silver gems around my waist paired with sparkly silver stilettos, a little black dress with black wedges, or a silver dress that was all sparkles, also paired with the sparkly heels. I ruled out the sparkly dress, remembering what Louis wore to my auction. He dressed very simple. But what if I wanted to stand out a little bit?
Just as I was about to start pulling out my hair, there was a soft knock at the door. "Miss?" Marlene muffled through the thick wooden door, "Are you alright? You've been in there for quite some time."
"Marlene!" I replied excitedly, "Please come in."
Marlene opened the door and quietly shut it behind her. "What do you need?" she asked me, smiling.
"I need help picking out something to wear tonight," I told her, breathing out a sigh of relief.
"Are these your options?" she said, making her way over to the bed. She looked at the outfits briefly, then said, "Wear the blue one. Mr. Tomlinson likes blue. Plus, you don't want to look too plain."
"Thank you," I said, picking up the silky blue dress. Marlene grabbed the other two outfits and put them away.
"Excuse me, miss, but I have to go clean up the pool room. Mr. Tomlinson will be home shortly, " Marlene said, then walked out of the room.
I slid on the dress and heels, then walked over to the full length mirror, looking at myself from every angle.
Suddenly, Louis appeared behind me. "You look beautiful," he said.
I jumped and turned around to face him, "Louis, you scared me," I giggled. He smiled and walked over to his closet, pulling out black dress pants and a blue dress shirt that matched my dress perfectly. He didn't even bother to go somewhere private, he just got dressed in front of me. I blushed pink when I saw his boxers and perfect body.
After he was dressed, he glanced at his clock. "Let's get going. We don't want to be late," he said, grabbing my hand. I smiled back at him.
We walked outside to his car and drove back to that dreaded auction house. We got out of the car and headed towards the doors. It was a mad house in here. I've never seen so many people in one place. Hundreds of men in tuxedos and women in glamorous gowns rushed to and fro, trying to find a seat.
Louis spotted our friends easily and led me through the crowd, down to the second row.
My auction was held in a tiny room with a stage and tables and chairs. There was forty people, tops. However, this auction was held in a full size auditorium.
The girls excitedly waved to me. Athena was wearing a long golden dress that shimmered in the light. Zayn matched her with a gold bowtie. Cass was wearing a short blood red dress with a scoop neck. Harry wore a red dress shirt to match. The red made his eyes glow. Brooke was wearing a lilac purple dress that puffed out a the waist line. Niall wore a lilac colored dress shirt and dark purple tie. Liam wore a plain, white dress shirt with a black tie and black dress pants. His hair was perfected with gel. Tonight must have been really important to him.
Louis shook everyone's hand and then sat down next to me. He put his had on the inside of my thigh as the lights dimmed. A shiver went up my spine.
First an auctioneer came onto the stage. He introduced himself as 'James Hoser,' and explained the auction.
After he was finished, the lights on the stage went out. He said, "Number 1, Josie Hensen." A sickly skinny girl came onto the stage dressed in a tight, short orange dress that barely covered her butt. I giggled, thinking to myself that Miss Irvin must've really been trying hard. She only sold for $6,000 to a man that looked in his fifties. I shuddered in my seat, feeling sorry for the skinny girl. The auction sure was different from a different perspective.
The auction went on, with more girls in bright outfits that barely covered themselves. Liam didn't bid on any girl yet. Must be a picky boy, I thought.
I was insanely bored until the auctioneer said, "Number 63, Alexandria Gordon" I leaned up in my seat, squinting to make sure it was her, my best friend from the Wealth Academy. It was Alex, dressed in a long, flowing white gown.
I gasped. Louis grabbed my hand. "What's wrong?" he asked, looking into my eyes.
"That's my best friend," I replied, "I can't believe nobody would bid on her."
Louis held my hand tightly as the bidding for my best friend's life started.
