I looked at my phone as it was ringing loudly, I don't recall putting my alarm this early. I shook this thought off and answered my phone.
"hello Charlie, I thought maybe we could meet up you know." Liam's voice rang through the phone.
I decided to joke. "who? I can't recall knowing you." I said confused.
"yes you do, I'm me, I'm Liam Payne."
"Oh my gosh, you're in One Direction, I'm so happy you called me, I'm having a fangirl attack right now." I screamed.
"I'm sorry love, I think I called the wrong number, please don't be mad."
"I'm so happy you called me, I told all my friends we were going to marry and they would never believe me, please carry my child Liam, please come to my house and I can make sure we have a baby, I'm ten by the way." Liam didn't response after that, I might have taken it a bit too far.
"I'm sorry again... I won't call you again."
"Liam, I'm kidding it's me Charlie." I said.
"I'm not sure if I should believe you ten year old." he said really unsure, I made him scared...
"Do I even sound like ten Liam, come one Liam, can't you remember the voice which belongs to the person who got your first kiss?"
"Charlie, gosh, I really thought you were a ten year old wanting to make love to me." Liam said in relieve. I laughed loudly.
"I bet there are enough girls out there." this made Liam laugh.
"Thank god, I thought I could never make love to a ten year old." he sighed deeply. Pretending to act like he actually did want to make love to a ten year old.
"Now, now Liam. Don't use your fame for anything related to that kind of stuff." I scolded. This made him chuckle.
"I missed you so much Charlie. I really really did."
"You're not the first one to tell me that." I muttered under my breath. "I think I missed you too Li." I told him honestly.
"Can we meet? like today. I can buy you lunch, or a drink. Whatever you want Charlie." he said a bit desperate. I sighed, why was it always like this. they would call, I would agree to meeting them.
"alright Liam, where do you want to meet?" I asked him in defeat. I heard him sigh in happiness.
"I can pick you up if you want, just text me your address and I'll be on my way." he told me
" alright, see you later Liam." He said his good bye and I ended the phone call. I quickly ran into my room after texting him my address. I grabbed a top, some jeans and quickly changed. I fixed my hair, and ran down stairs.
it wasn't much later before the bell rang. I walked towards the door and opened with a smile. He looked up his brown eyes burning into mine.
"Liam, why are you acting like this?" I asked him, he looked at me, those brown eyes making me feel warm inside. he walked ignored me continuing his conversation with one of the populars.
I sighed, and shook my head. I guess I lost my friend. again. Why did I always have to lose a friend? these days would be hard, but my dad told me we would move again.
"Liam? I'm leavening. Could you at least have a minute for me?" I asked him. He groaned.
"I'm sorry, need to handle this first." I was hurt by his words. why was he suddenly acting like this, why did he turn his back at me.
"Nice to know I'm a this now." I snapped at him. He looked taken back. "I was your best friend. Until you started this bulling." I started.
"But as I said. You were my best friend, in my eyes you still are. Well a bit at least. And I still like you, we shared enough memories. You're not nothing for me. So I want to say good bye, because I'm going to move." I explained and his expression fell.
"You can't just leave me." he said angrily. I crossed my arms over my chest, hoping I would be bigger then I actually was. Or at least seem bigger.
"Well why not, you apparently left me. Just like that." I moved my hands around angrily. I didn't know why I was that mad, I mean, he could be popular. He could be happy.
He couldn't be happy with me, his only friend. He couldn't be happy with one friend, let alone with a loser like me.
"I'm sorry Charlie, it's just not that simple." he seemed really frustrated as he ran a hand through his hair.
"What's not so simple. That you choose popularity over me, or that you like it there better."
"It's neither of them. I think... I think I even like it better with you then with any of them. Victoria included." He sighed. I smiled at him.
"I'm sorry Liam. For leaving you, and for making you feel like you needed popularity, for making your live harder." I said. I turned around. I felt numb.
Yes I was happy he admitted that he was better of with me. but I couldn't make myself believe him.
After I packed I got a text from Liam. Saying he wanted to meet me for the last time. I went to a local pub but no one was there.
"Oh look who actually showed up guys..." I heard a voice. I turned around and saw Victoria. Did Liam make me come here?
"The little pathetic girl, loser, fatty, nobody." someone else stepped into the light. It was one if Liam's new friends.
They cornered me and started pushing me around. Tears quickly rolled down my cheeks as insults were thrown at me. I felt worthless.
"This was our plan." Victoria told me. "Let Liam get closer to you, break your heart, and then we would just beat you up." she snarled at me.
My heart broke down. Liam wanted this? he wanted to break my heart? make me feel worthless? he wanted to steal my first kiss, make me feel special.
"Well he got what he wanted." I smiled a sad smile. Trying to keep the little bit pride I had left. Victoria smirked and inched closer.
"You're nothing Charlie, and you'll always be nothing. Nothing will surround you, nothing will like you, and nothing will work out."
"Charlie!" Liam exclaimed as he saw me. I smiled and waved at him. He walked towards me taking big steps.
"Liam." I said a bit less exited then him. His arms closed around me and he hugged me tightly.
"I've missed you Charlie, it's been such a long time ago." He sighed dreamily. I smiled a sad smile.
We spend the day together. He bought me a lunch at a little cake shop, we laughed and talked and I had a great time.
"Liam?" I asked. He nodded for me to continue, he noticed my change of mood. First I was laughing, now I was serious.
"When you send me that text, did you know what they were going to do to me? did you help them plan what they would do to me?" I asked him.
"What text are you talking about, and who are they?" he asked confused. I gave him an are-you-serious look.
"The text you send me, the text that made me hate you. The night when they beat me up and practically changed my point of view in life."
"I'm still not sure what you're talking about. I always thought you hate me because I left you, practically bullied you." he said honestly.
"You send a text, so I went to where you told me to meet you. When I came there, Victoria and her posse were there. Saying you planned on breaking my heart and stuff." I explained. Liam frowned.
"But she told me she texted one of her friends. I swear Charlie. I had nothing to do with what happened that night. I didn't plan on breaking your heart, I didn't know they were gong to do that."
This came as a shock to me. All this time I hated Liam so much, because of something he actually didn't do. "I'm sorry." I mumbled.
"I'm sorry." I repeated. "I'm sorry for hating you, for blaming you, for not trusting you. I should've been the one to make things up to you, not the other way around." I looked up at Liam.
He seemed shocked. "Really?" he raised his eyebrow. "You're apologizing. You shouldn't even think about doing something like that. You have all the rights to hate me. I left you, if I hadn't done that Victoria wouldn't have come after you. You would have been save. Christ this is all my fault." he ran a hand through his hair. He seemed frustrated.
"Let's leave that behind us, shall we?" I asked him. He nodded his head sheepishly.
"Again I'm sorry." he said. I replied by saying I was sorry too. "So as you might know I'm in a band." Liam started.
"You would be living under a rock not to know." I laughed. I nodded for him to continue.
"And we'll be having a concert pretty soon, would you care to come. You could meet my bandmates and pretty sure they'll like you."
"Oh I wouldn't doubt that." I laughed nervously. Liam smiled at me.
"So that's a yes?" I shook my head no, this made Liam frown. "Why not, it's not like we're anything bad." he said a bit defensive.
"No it's not that Liam. I know you are amazing, your bandmates too, it's just that... just that I don't like other people. I don't like meeting new people." I explained.
I might be going to a concert of them. but I'm not sure, I'm not sure if I'm ready to break the ice. Knowing I've been their friend, knowing that I am their friend. They could get mad.
"We'll get there."
