"So, what do you think?' Louis asked me, bouncing up and down in excitement. "It's a good idea, and you would make a good father." I said. We were talking about the band adopting a child. "Yes! Everyone's on board!" He yelled, pumping his fist. I laughed. "You look like a kid on Christmas!" I exclaimed. Louis just stuck his tongue out at me and ran out of the room. "Where are you going?" I called after him. "To call management and ask if we can adopt a child!" He yelled back. I laughed again. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. I got up and opened it, and there stood Paul. Louis practically tackled him into a hug. "THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!" He screamed. Paul rolled his eyes, but was smiling. Louis was still hugging him when Paul held out a sheet of paper to me. "Here is a lit of all of the orphanages in this area," He explained, "But I got to run, so could you help get him off?!?!" He asked. I pulled Louis off of Paul and told him to go tell the others to get ready to go. Once everybody was ready, we met up with Eleanor, who was going to be the mom, and set off. There were only 5 orphanages that were on the sheet of paper. We decided that we wanted a child who loved music, and sports, and was tough enough to fight the paparazzi . Unfortunately, there was no match at any of the first 4 orphanages. Eleanor had to leave before we got to the last one. Once we got there, Louis was pretty glum. We told the director of the orphanage, a lady named Ms. Linda, what we wanted in the child, and instead of her face dropping, like at the last 4 places, her face lit up like a Christmas tree. "I know the perfect child for you!" her face fell a bit. "Unless..." She trailed off, biting her lip. "Unless what?" Louis asked, looking confused. "Well, the child that I'm talking about is 12 years old..." She said. "Perfect!" Louis said, looking happy. That was just the age that he was looking for. "Well, It's just that... the child is also a girl. You seem to be looking for a boy." She said worriedly. Louis frowned and opened his mouth to say something, but I cut him off. "I don't really think that Louis cares if it is a boy or a girl. He just wants a child." I said. Her face lit up once more. "OK, I'll take you to see her. Her name is Amber." She said as she led us upstairs. As we neared a door, we heard the strumming of a guitar and singing. The voice was amazing! As soon as I saw the person that the voice belonged to, my jaw dropped. I would have guessed that it belonged to an adult celebrity singer who had lots of vocal lessons to reach that high level of singing, but it belonged to a 12 year old girl with blonde hair, blue eyes, and was as thin as a twig. I was shocked, and from the looks on the boys' faces, they were, too. The girl was not the only one in the room. there were two more in the room with her. One was short and had short straight black hair with brown eyes, and the other was tall with wavy brown hair with purple ends and hazel eyes. Once the first girl had finished her song, I started clapping and everyone else followed along. By that time, we weren't the only ones in the doorway. It looked like the entire orphanage was there! As soon as the clapping had started, she looked up in surprise, but then she turned beet red and suddenly became interested in her hands, which were sitting in her lap. She looked up again, and the short one in the room said "So, I'm guessing you chose women's rights to write about?" She nodded. "OMG! THAT WAS SO GOOD! YOU HAVE TO HELP ME WITH MY PROJECT!" The other one burst out with. "OK." She whispered. "Wait, hold up, you're shy?" I asked. She rolled her eyes and turned her attention to the other 4 boys. "Hi, I'm Harry, and that's Niall, Zayn, Liam, and Louis." I said, introducing everyone. "OK, I'm Amber." She said. I turned to Ms. Linda. "This is Amber? The one you told us about?" I asked her. "Yes, she fits all of your requirements, except that she's a girl." She told us. "Wait... You want to adopt me?!?!" Amber exclaimed, seeming to hardly believe it. By then, it was only me, the boys, Ms. Linda, and the two girls. "Ummm... We'll just go now." The tall one said awkwardly while pulling the other slightly by the arm. "No, it's OK. I like it better when you two are around. It helps me relax." Amber told the two girls. "Who are they?" Niall asked politely. "They are my two best friends, Nina and Mariel." Amber introduced them, then walked over and sat on a bed next to them. "Well, I'll let you 5 get to know Amber. Nina, Mariel, you may stay if you wish." Ms. Linda said. "We'll stay!" They both said eagerly. "OK." She said. then she walked out, shutting the door behind her. We walked over and sat on the bed next to the one they were sitting on. "Sooo..." I started, but I was cut off by Louis. "Do you like carrots?" He said eagerly. Liam face-palmed, but Amber didn't notice. "Ummm... Sure." She said, holding back a laugh. "Why?" Louis asked. This time I face-palmed, but Amber didn't seem to notice. "Ummm... They are good for your eyesight?" She said, a little unsure. "I'm sorry about him, he's a little obsessed with carrots." Liam apologized to Amber. "OK then..." She said awkwardly. "Hey, let's play 20 questions!" Zayn suggested. "OK!" She said, getting a little exited. She must not like this game that much. We went on asking her random questions about herself until she had to go to bed and Nina and Mariel had to go home. It turns out that they weren't orphans, just Amber's friends. We left her to go to bed, promising to come back the next day. Louis was given a small stack of papers to fill out if he wanted to adopt Amber. It's a good thing that we had all night, there were a ton of papers! Once it was all completed, we went to bed.
