5. New Family Night (Hestia's point of view)
I opened the car door, and there it was. Our Mother of Peace. My little sister, Raquelle, got out of the car and slammed the door. I jumped. I guess you are flinchy when you are having an anxiety breakdown. I took a deep breath and walked toward the massive building that loomed ahead. When I arrived at the door, I stopped. I saw a girl my age through the glass, and I got even sicker. "Hurry up," Raquelle said, impatient, but clearly just as nervous. I opened the door and stepped inside. There was a long table with cookies and water. I was hungry, so I went over and grabbed two cookies. I sat down on a metal chair with my family. The new principal, Mrs. Beige, came into the cafeteria and introduced herself, "Hello all of you. My name is Karen Beige. I am the principal here at O.M.P, and I would like every one of you to feel welcome. While I tell the parents about our school, the kids may go with these students to have a look around the building." At that, there was a lot of scuffling of feet and the legs of the chairs moving across the wood floor. Finally, I got up and walked over to the group of kids. My parents waved goodbye to me and my sister. Then the tour guides walked us through the doors to the main hallway. The girl I had seen before was wearing a sparkly blue top with jeans. I tried to smile at her, but the look I gave her might have made it seem like I was constipated. As we walked towards the office area, the girl asked people what their names were and what grade they were going into. When she came up to me, I said I was going into fifth. She started jumping up and down and ran over to a short girl with a high bun. The girl said, "What are you doing?" "Oh my gosh she is in our class! She is going into fifth grade! WE HAVE A NEW GIRL IZZY!" she exclaimed. I assumed that she was excited about me coming, so I started to breath a little easier. She bounded back over to me. "What is your name, person?" she asked. "Hestia," I replied. She introduced herself as Veronica Pointer. "But you can just call me Rony," she added. Rony walked over to the girl who was most likely Izzy, cause I had heard her call her that before. "Hestia, Izzy. Izzy, Hestia," she said. And together they said," Welcome to O.M.P!"
