Chapter 8: Anniversary pt. 2
"Okay guys let's finish, Calum just texted me. They're on their way, let's go to the restaurant" I snickered as I laid a finishing touch on the cinema looking living room.
My heart fluttered at the thought of Gemma's reaction, hopefully she would be very happy about it.
I had no idea how she felt, but I had been having feelings for Gemma for quite a while. I had been wondering about telling her my feelings tonight, but I just couldn't do it. What if she doesn't like me back? What if she just sees me as a friend and nothing more? I just couldn't risk it.
"Calum this is not the way home..?" I looked at him questioningly "I know, I just need to get something before we go home" he had an evil grin on his face; what was he up to?
We stopped in front of a building.. It looked very familiar, I realised we had parked in front of my favourite restaurant. "Gem, come with me?" Calum said opening the car door, I nodded and followed him.
Was this a date or something? If it was, I really wanted to escape.. We entered the restaurant; standing there were three happy faces staring at us. "Surprise! Happy anniversary!" They all yelled. "Oh my god! You guys, I can't believe you remembered it!" I shrieked hugging them all joyfully.
So they remembered after all, this couldn't get any better. And they had taken me to my favourite restaurant. "Thank you! I love you guys" I sat down at the table, which was set neatly and it had flags and an envelope that said To our beloved Gemma.
I was the luckiest girl in the world, I was practically on a date with four guys. My four best friends! "Here, open it" Ashton handed me the envelope.
I opened the letter, it was a card; they had drawn their faces on it and it was adorable. I read the card out loud to the boys "Dear Gemma. We are so happy that you came into our lives. You made our lives even better and who knew a girl could be so cool! We want let you know, that we all love you a lot! Happy anniversary Gemma, you're the brightest star in the sky! Lots of love Calum, Luke, Michael and Ashton"
"Aw you guys, that is the sweetest thing ever!" I cried out shedding a tear "You are a big part of our lives now, we want it to stay that way" Mikey said. "Back at you" I giggled
"Okay, here's the present from us" Ashton handed me a little silver box, I took it and opened it.
"Oh my god! Boys this is so perfect!" I gasped in surprise as I looked at a necklace and engraved in a silver plate were all of our names and at the top there was a little diamond.
"Thank you so much!" It was a beautiful present "Help me put it on?" I turned to Ashton who nodded and took the necklace. He placed it gently around my neck closing the lock.
"Perfect!" Calum smiled looking at the necklace. I hugged them all and then we sat down to order some food.
Everything was perfect, me and the boys sitting together having a meal, just like a family.
The boys had become like family to me and it was just as good as being home with mom and dad.
"I have your presents, but they're actually in your house. I hid one under each bed" I said giggling a little as they all looked at me with curiosity. "How long?" Michael asked taking a sip of water "A week" I playfully smiled sipping some water as well. "How did we not notice?" Luke looked at the boys with a serious yet thoughtful look. "I don't know, she's just that good" Ashton shook his head laughing.
"I know I am Ash!" I nudged him, his face was delightful to watch. He was never sad, he always smiled and was usually chirpy. He was seriously a great friend!
We ate dinner, talked, laughed and enjoyed it. "Come on, we must go now" Calum said as we had paid for dinner. We followed him and sat in the car. "Where are we going?" My curiosity grew by the second "Can't tell you!" Michael grinned widely, I knew something was up.
Gemma's curiosity was so cute, she looked like she was about to burst. We were going to our next stop which was the ice cream shop, our favourite.
As we got closer, Gemma's eyes lit up. "Ice cream!? You guys!" She shrieked happily and clapped her perfect hand together. "Yes! It's a family favourite Gems!" I laugh and side hug her. She smells so good, she's perfect and I just really want her to be mine.
We stopped for ice cream, we took it back to the house and took Gemma to the garden with all the lights. "It's so beautiful!" She exclaimed as we walked into the garden "You guys.. I'm really grateful".
She was so stunning to watch, with every move I fell more and more in love with her and she didn't even know. Should I tell her? Maybe not..
"So, can we go get our presents before the last we are going to do?" Luke exclaimed eagerly after we ate our ice cream.
"Sure" she nodded giggling. We all went inside and found our presents under our beds. It was so exciting to see what she had gotten for us.
I opened mine and saw the sweetest t-shirt ever. She had gotten a picture of all of us on it and under the picture it said Forever.
We all gathered in the living room and saw that we had all received the same present. It was sweet. I would wear it everyday. The boys and I went outside in the garden where Gemma was still waiting patiently. "It's so fucking cool!" Michael exclaimed hugging her. We all agreed and hugged her ever so tightly. Then we all came in for a group hug. We were a little family together. "Thanks you guys! You are perfect!" Gemma screeched happily hugging us one more time.
"Come on, we have one last surprise for you Gems" I took her hand and we went inside to the now cinema looking living room. "Are we watching a movie?" She looked at me with those beautiful eyes, eagerly waiting for my answer. I melted like butter, right then and there.
"Yes we are.. And since you talked so much about it, we are watching A Million Ways To Die In The West." I pushed her down on the couch and the boys joined. I started the DVD and sat down beside Gemma. "I can't wait to watch it!" Gemma smiled and took my hand.
