Chapter 2: Going
I spent the next two weeks trying to figure out what clothes to take with me and what to leave behind. In Australia it was always sunny, so I decided to only take shorts, T-shirts, summer dresses and bikini with me.
Here, it was raining, and it was dark and cold.
The time then came for me to go. I hugged my mom and dad goodbye, and made sure I had my phone and computer with me, so we could keep in touch.
The flight was very long, 15 hours of flying. When I finally landed, I was so tired.
I asked in the airport for directions to the hotel I was staying at. They told me it was a walking distance, and that I just had to go to the right, straight ahead and then right again.
It didn't help much, but I just didn't care so I walked outside and to the right, like they said. I couldn't find anything... I walked around like a lost puppy.
"What the hell is this? Maybe I am going the wrong way?" I said to myself. Maybe I could find someone who could show me the proper way.
I saw a group of four guys talking and laughing. I went up to them "Hello boys, can one of you tell me how I get to Annandale hotel? I can't seem to find it" I smiled, I got a look at them as they turned around, they were really goodlooking, I almost dropped my bags.
"Oh, hello. We are actually heading that way, you can walk with us if you want?" a guy with the cutest dimples ever, and curly very light brown hair and green eyes said.
"Okay, thank you" I said shyly looking down. "Do you want some help with your bags? We can carry them for you." A guy that looked like he was a bit asian said cockily.
"Thanks, that would be nice." I smiled, showing them my set of teeth. "I'll take that one, Ash take this one, and Lukey take this" the asian looking boy grabbed my bags and shared them between him and the guy with curly hair and a guy with a lip piercing.
The last one had his own bag. He had some sort of greenish, blonde coloured hair that was going in all kinds of directions.
"Sorry, almost forgot. What is your name?" the curly haired guy said. "Oh yeah, I am Julie Gemma Anderson, nice to meet you..."
"Yeah, Ashton Irwin, nice to meet you. Where are you from?" he smiled nicely. "Nice to meet you too. I am from the UK. I assume you all are from here?" I said and walked in a quick pace.
"Yeah we are. Let me introduce you to, Luke Hemmings vocals and guitar, in our band. Michael Clifford vocals and guitar as well, Calum Hood bass and vocals, and me vocals and drums" Ashton said, wnile we walked towards a big bus.
"Oh you're a band, what is the band called?". "She doesn't know..." Michael whispered to Ashton. "Well the band is called 5 Seconds of Summer. You've never heard of us?" Ashton said
"Hmm, doesn't sound familiar, are you on youtube? Maybe I'll check it out. Is that your bus?" The band did not sound like a band I would know.
"Yeah, we are about to go to our home, where we are relaxing before we go on tour in four months" Michael said happily. "Oh yeah, here we are, Annandale hotel."
Ashton pointed in the direction of a big hotel. "Wow, alright thanks for the help, I really appreciate it." I noticed Ashton staring at me. I could feel my cheeks blushing, I looked away.
They gave me back my bags and I headed for the entrance.
"Hey, Julie!" I turned around seeing Ashton running towards me. "Hey, whats up?" I smiled "I was just wondering, how long are you staying? And would you ever want to hang out with me, I mean us?" he said. He was so sweet, he was really down to earth.
"I am staying for 4 months here at this hotel, it would ne nice to hang out with you, you can just ask for me in the lobby, when you're around. Okay, I have to go check in now, but see you around Ashton, bye guys" I didn't even get nervous when I talked to him, it felt so natural.
"Okay, thanks. See you around, Julie Gemma Anderson" he said with nis thick australian accent, and he remembered my name!
Wow, never had I ever before seen a girl that was so naturally beautiful, and the way she carried herself was graceful. Her hair was put up in a loose bun, and her green eyes were beautifully set, and her mouth was so innocent to look at.
She was very calm and looked happy, but at the same time something told me she had seen a lot that had damaged her soul. She was nice, and she didn't look at us like we were weird or anything, it was genuine and non judgemental.
I watched her as she made her way to the entrance of Annandale hotel. There was something about her that made me smile and feel safe. "Wow" I said dazed, "Haha, what is it mate? Does someone have a crush?" Michael teased "Uhm, no. I was just admiring the hotel" I lunged at him.
"Okay, whatever you say brotherman" Michael smiled at punched me on the shoulder. The four of us went inside the bus, and headed for our home. "Was it just me, or did anyone else feel like they had known her always?" Calum said surprisingly.
Yeah, me too." Luke said "She actually kind of made me feel safe" I said wryly, "Yeah, she gave me some sort of feeling that everything was going to be fine, is this weird?" Michael said questioningly.
"No, I don't think it is. Not to sound cheesy or anything, but when I looked at her it just felt right" I said blushing a bit, "I really think someone has a crush, Ashton Irwin!" Calum laughed. My face went completely red.
"Fine, I know we just met her, but I like her" I said, smiling to myself. "Haha. I can't wait to get home and relax!" Luke said and closed his tired eyes.
The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, everything was so neat and tidy. I got hold of my key, and practically ran to my room. I opened the door, my eyes were not ready for the sight that greeted them.
Mom and dad actually booked a suite for me! Wow, it was so big. There was a big table at the entrance with a bouquet of flowers. The walls were white and gold, and in the ceiling there was a beautiful chandelier hanging.
I closed the door and put down my bags. There was two more doors, one to the left and one to the right. I opened the door to the right, only to find the biggest kingsized bed I'd ever seen, it looked like a princess bedroom.
Beside the bed there was a door. The door led the way into a luxury bathroom. A little scream of surprise escaped my mouth. I then ran back to the other door at the entrance, I opened it and to my surprise, the biggest flatscreen was standing there, and a nice couch was in front of it.
The room also had a minibar, and a mini library with books and magazines. I was in absolute awe. If only Dani had been here to share it with me. I missed her like crazy.
I opened my bag and found the last picture taken of Dani and I together, I went into the bedroom and put the picture on the bed table. "This is it Dani, it is almost like we are rockstars" I smiled at the picture.
I unpacked and then had a shower and put on my pajamas. I found my computer. Then I remembered, 5 Seconds of Summer, the band, I had to check it out.
I searched on youtube, I found a song called Don't Stop, and played it. The video had over 20 million views, wow they were really popular. The song started. "Wow, they're really good" I said as the song ended.
I found their album on Spotify and played it. My eyes felt heavy and before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
