City Chick to Country Gal

Mallory Mayhew. LA City girl. She has the perfect life living in the suburbs of Beverley Hills with her business man dad, fashion store chain owner mom and a few siblings that she'd rather not mention but everything's going to change. When her dad gets offered a job in rural Canada, Mallory has to pack up the bikinis and get out the wooly jumpers which is something she's never had to do. How will she manage this transition?

5. Don't Even Try

Mallory was in one of the biggest moods because of the move to the place she would hate. It was Friday night and she still hadn't told her friends about leaving them before the year was up, cancelling the trip to New York to go shopping because she'd be living 21 hours away from civilisation and good stores.

She got home and pulled of her Michael Kors jumpsuit and new Loubouton's before putting on a Love Pink hoodie (actually pink) and Hollister short before getting her MacBook and looking up Vancouver.

She expected glistening sandy beachs, tanned Cali style girls but found piles and piles of snow and ugly coats and jumpers. She looked at her closet, full of shorts, crop tops, bikinis and sandals, she would have to get rid of it all in exchange for coats, jeans (which she already had thank god!) and boots, no heels, and the thought of it made her scream.

Suddenly, Madelyn emerged into her room wearing a plain black Marc Jacobs dress and plain black Loubouton's, with her red hair curled and her makeup fully done for once, red lipstick being the statement of her look. "What! Get out!" Mallory yelled. "No I need to talk to you about Canada." Madelyn persisted sitting down on Mallory's queen size bed. "I'm not going to stupid frickin Canada!" She yelled. "Mallory get a grip of yourself. Your acting like a spoiled little brat! You do realise dad is still paying for UCLA and is buying you and apartment here whilst your studying, he's not making you get a job to pay for rent or collegefees and you know why? Because he saw how wack you got and knew you needed somewhere like this to start of your fashion career!" Madelyn explained. "But I still have to live there until June! I have to go to school there an it will be dirty public school." Mallory scoffed. "Neveyah and I went to public school, bet you didn't know that. It was because dad wasn't rich yet so he couldn't afford to send us to private school her whole life like you got and I rejected because I'm not a superficial California girl like you." Madelyn shouted. "That proves why you got knocked up at 17 you slut!" Mallory snarled. "Oh get over yourself Mallory, you do realise that I know something about one of your friends that you wouldn't like!" She yelled. "Oh surprise me!" She yelled back at Madelyn. "You know your best friend Ashleigh? Did you realise she acted weird last year? Well she was pregnant last year and she got rid of it so you didn't be a bitch to her!" Madelyn yelled, this information shocking Mallory. "Oh Madelyn just get out!" She screamed. "Why? Cos you don't like the fact you friends a 'slut' to." Madelyn yelled, the sentence haunting Mallory as she made it clear pregnancies in her friendship group weren't her problem to fix.
