I went to the store today and was buying gifts for my family. I bought my nephew, Theo, a little toy car that he could ride in at his house. My phone started ringing and I answered to see who it was. "Hello?" I asked. "Hey, Niall. Can I tell you something?" Layla said. "Sure. What's up?" I asked and I zipped up my jacket. "Well, I want to tell you in person." I payed for the gifts and headed to my car. "Okay, where are you then?" I asked. "Mullingar Park." Layla said.
"I'm just down the street. I'm coming." I said and hanged up. When I had finally gotten there, she was sitting on the park bench. I got out of my car and walked over to her and sat down. "You were wanting to tell me something?" I asked and she smiled. "Yeah." She said looking around the park. I could tell Layla was trying to hold back on her tears and she was bitting her lip.
"Niall, 4 years ago I watched the X-Factor. I saw you and the other 4 boys," Layla looked to the ground and then to the sky. "For some reason, you stood out to me. You always made me smile and laugh. Watching you grow up in everything has been the best thing. When I saw your face outside that store the other day, my life turned into a whole different direction. Niall, you mean the world to me and the other fans. Thank you." Layla said and tears streamed down her face.
I wiped tears away and she smiled. "If I could meet every fan out there, I would." I said and tears began to fill my eyes. "I'm just a lucky fan, right?" She asked and I sighed. "A special fan." I corrected her and a tear escaped my eye. I got a text from Simon who needed me right away. "I better go. Work is calling for me." I said and she nodded. "It's okay. Go make some dreams happen, Niall." Layla said and I squeezed her hand and left.
