I was nervous before I woke up. I sat up and I looked forward to the evening, but first I would handle a day. I looked out on the street, no snow. Instead, I saw some young people who wandered weary past my house. I showered and I did all my morning chores. I put my laptop on the table and I noticed that Niall wasn't at skype. I wondered if he would forget me and the chances was that he may not call in the evening? Nevertheless, I tried not to think about it. He had my mobile number and he could contact me, even if he didn't want to see me again.
Andy stood in the middle of the floor of the shop and he looked at me with those prying eyes.
He grinned and he rolled his eyes.
"Do you know what you'll put on tonight? What you going to wearing?"
I realized he was talking about my meeting with Niall.
He grinned and he came up to me.
"I see at you that you are nervous. All you're nervous and I only have one thing to say to you." He took his hands on my shoulders and he looked straight into my eyes. "If he doesn't become interested in you, he's a fool."
I couldn't help but laugh. I had no thought of getting Niall interested in me, not any more than he already was.
"It's enough that he remains as my friend." I said happily. Andy giggled but I saw at him that he had a different opinion.
"You shouldn't be content with friends." he said kindly. "You meet a guy as living in London? Then you shouldn't settle for the tiny things?"
I admit it. The day passed slowly. The afternoon was like a whole life and when I finally locked the door to the store, it tingled throughout the body. I was surprised when a car drove up and slammed on the brakes in front of me. My first thought was that I would be robbed, but right as it was the door opened and Nialls head appeared.
"I couldn't wait." he said. I gasped and I just stared at him. He laughed a little bit and he put himself beside me on the street.
"Did I scare you?"
I nodded a little bit.
"Guys usually don't stop like that in front of friends?"
He blushed a little bit and then he opened the door on the passenger side.
I giggled and I nodded a little bit.
"I was going to change my clothes at home first?"
He shrugged his shoulders and he made sure I sat on the seat.
"I can see that you quickly gets home?" he said and he closed the door for me. I put on my seat belt and he jumped in behind the wheel.
It felt strange to sit in Nialls car. I felt like a school girl who was in an older guy's car and my whole stomach tingled.
"You could have called?" I mumbled friendly. He laughed a little bit and he gave me a quick glance.
"I thought about waiting, but I was bored and I thought we could quickly get back to me if I brought you up with my car?"
I blushed and I looked at him. He seemed to like me? I liked that.
"Turn right!" I whispered. I guided him to my apartment and when he stopped outside the door, I hesitated.
"I hurry up and change."
Niall smiled and he turned off the engine of the car. He looked at me and he raised his eyebrows.
"Can't I come along and see how you live?"
"Do you want to see my apartment?"
Niall nodded happily.
"It would be fun?"
I nodded a little bit and I had no good replica to come by. He would certainly consider that I lived crowded, but at the same time it was just as well that he saw how I lived.
I was surprised. Niall said nothing about that I lived crowded. Instead he seemed curiously and he peek at everything and he waited until I was finished. I changed in the bathroom and the entire stomach tingled. I wasn't even used to that a guy was in my home.
"I like your apartment." I heard Niall say. I smiled a little bit and I left the toilet.
He spun around and he looked at me. I noticed that he seemed to eye me from the bottom up. It was as if he watched me, in a good way.
I nodded. I took the phone and put it in my handbag and I put on my shoes and jacket. Niall was waiting the whole time and he didn't let go of me with his eyes.
Niall lived in a house. I couldn't help but walk around and see the rooms. Niall showed me everything and we ended up in his kitchen. He was in a good mood and I saw at him that he was excited.
"Wine?" he asked with a mischievous look. I nodded. He opened the fridge and took out a bottle. I watched as he removed the cork and he poured it into two glasses. He gave me a glass in my hand and he looked at me again.
"I like that you are nervous." he whispered happily. "I like girls who's...." He didn't finish the sentence. Instead, he changed the subject. "Cheers?"
I grinned and I nodded.
Our glasses clinked and then I tasted the wine.
I was surprised when Niall forced me to sit on a chair and he prepared the food on his own.
"You don't like to get help in the kitchen?" I asked, curious. He smiled and he looked quickly at me.
"Yes I like to get help, but this is the first time you are here and I want to be a gentleman."
I laughed a little and I couldn't help but follow him with my eyes. I started to relax and we talked more generally with each other.
"So how long you are free from work?" I asked. It sounded wrong to call it a job, because he was doing music and that stuff. Niall was thinking.
"We have some gigs around Christmas and New Year's Eve, but otherwise I'm off." He looked at me and he smiled awry. "And you? Are you free over Christmas?"
"Well, I'm off for a few days."
He was intrigued.
"What are you looking at doing those days?"
I shrugged. I had many things I wanted to do, but at the same time I knew that I would probably stay in my apartment.
"I want to go home, to my parents, but there are many of my friends who want me to stay in London."
He understood me.
"You have the same problem as me." he said lightly. He put a pot on the stove and he began to fry the chicken. "We have many choices."
"And you? Are you going home to your parents?"
Niall looked at me and I noted that he almost thought about what he would answer. It was as if he had plans but he didn't wanted to share them.
"I haven't decided yet."
It started to smell food in the full kitchen. I noticed that my stomach reacted and I started to get hungry. Niall was good at cooking. I noted that he knew what he was doing and he made me just become more curious about what qualities he had.
"I read that you play golf?"
He nodded and he laughed a little bit.
"I like to go out on the golf course and it's relaxing." He quickly looked at me and he smiled big. "Can you play golf?"
I shook my head quickly.
"No, I have tested once, but I don't think I have what you need to play."
Niall looked at me again and he raised an eyebrow.
"I can teach you?"
I blushed. Did he seriously meant that?
"You teach me?"
"Me and Harry usually go out on the golf course and here in England, it will directly not snow. You can play throughout the year."
He laughed and he was almost amused by me. He moved around in the pot and then he succumbed out plates on the table.
"What else have you read?" he asked. "About me?"
Shit! I had read everything and it felt wrong to say that I had snooped.
"Type that you are in One Direction?"
"I see at you that you have more questions for me and that means you have read on your homework?"
I didn't know what to say. I drank more wine and I looked down at the floor.
"I don't know! There's so much information and much gossip."
Niall laughed and he sat down on the chair next to me. He looked at me, straight into my eyes and it was as if he loved that I had been stupid enough to snoop.
"Yes, a lot of gossip." he replied cheerfully. "Both the fans and the newspapers can come up with all sorts of wacky ideas."
I agreed. I had noticed that the fans had crazy fantasies.
"You mean thing like Larry, Narry and every other name that popped up?"
Niall nodded. He didn't seemed to care about what the fans wrote, but he liked that I had read about him.
"I'm not gay!" it came out of his mouth. I gasped.
"It wasn't what I meant."
He calmed me down with a smile. How many smiles did he have? He could smile in a thousand different ways and all ways affected me.
"Jenny, I just wanted you to know that I'm pretty normal. I have no skeletons in the closet and I'm honest."
I swallowed and I looked at him.
"Neither do I."
He smiled and he nodded.
"I have already understood, that you are a pretty down to earth girl, although you are working in a clothing store."
"Down to earth?"
"You're such a girl who's quite calm, but like when things happen around you? I like that."
I didn't know what to say. Was this the way you got to know guys? He didn't seem to care that he got me quiet. He stood up and he picked instead the finished food, and he put it on the table.
We eventually landed on the couch. He put on the TV and he chose a movie channel. We sat fed and happy next to each other, but I had a distance between us, so I didn't accidentally touch him.
"Why did you invite me?" I asked. Niall looked at me and he yawned a little bit.
"Because you seem to be a fine girl."
I smiled and I looked at him.
"So you tend to take home the girls are fine?"
He smiled wryly and then he shook his head.
"No, as I have said, this was the first time. But I felt like doing something different."
I agreed that it was different.
"I haven't met a male friend in this way."
Niall frowned and he played angry.
I was startled.
"Yes, we are friends? Or what is it we are when we have eaten a meal together?"
He gave me such a look that could say a thousand words. It was as if he thought something else and immediately I was almost flabbergasted.
"Niall, do you mean we're not friends?"
He laughed and took his arm around my shoulders. I didn't resist when he pulled me towards him.
"Well, we're friends." he said cheerfully. "I promise you that this is just the beginning of a long friendship."
I felt his Perfume slid around my nose and I realized that he smelled good. He had his arm was around me softly and he made me become like jelly.
"Good!" I mumbled shyly. I felt how he close to me he was and just the thought that I was sitting there, made me almost faint.
"Take it easy." I heard him whisper. "I wont bite you."
In the end it was late and we were tired. Niall took me into a guest room, which almost looked fresh clean out. My thought was that he had planned that I would sleep over, I quickly shook off that thought.
"You can borrow a t-shirt from me." he said cheerfully, and he drew the curtains for the window. "I have unused toothbrushes, if you want one?"
I just nodded. I didn't know what to say. Niall gave me both a t-shirt and a toothbrush. There was a toilet in the guest room, so all I needed was there. Before he left me, he stopped in front of me and he smiled.
"I must admit I have had a fun night."
He hugged me. I couldn't help but hug him back. I felt again his wonderful scents and he hugged me in a way so that I wouldn't let him go. I wanted to stay in his arms and just me. Yet he ended the hug and he blushed.
"Sleep tight!" he whispered, and he left me alone.
I was under the cover and I sniffed at his t-shirt as I had on. I had realized that Niall was more perfectly to what I had dreamed about. He was charming and he was funny. I didn't know if he had flirted with me or if he just wanted to be nice. I couldn't go on to think about that part. I was just happy that I slowly fell asleep in the same house as Niall.
