The party was actually really fun. I mean, really fun. I had on a flowy blue gown and my normal high-top sneakers. I’m not really into heels.
“So you having fun?” Zara yelled over the music. We may be right next to each other, but we couldn't hear ourselves think over this music.
“Yeah!” I yelled back.
“Do you wanna go get a drink?”
“Sure!” We walked over to the bar and she ordered a wine and I gave her a strange look, ordering a sprite.
“So, what are you lovely ladies doing at a party like this?” A strange man walked up to us with a smile on his face.
“I-I uh…” Luckily, Zara stepped in and spoke.
“It’s my uncle’s party, how about you, what’s a man like you doing at a house that should’ve been turned into a gentleman’s club 3 years ago?”
“You’re cocky…” He gave her a weird smile that I had never seen a guy smile. “I like that in a girl…”
“Why thank you. Have I um… seen you before?”
“No, I don't think you have.” He eyed her like-this is my best description of it-she was a piece of meat.
“Well, I must be mistaking you for someone else... bartender, another one here!”
“Zara, you're gonna get drunk if you keep drinking like that!”
“Well, why aren't we drunk yet?” She laughed. I had to smile.
“I guess,” I downed my soda. “I will have a…. wine?”
“That’s the spirit!” She grinned at me.
“Yeah, only cause we are in Ukraine, and I feel like it.”
“Maybe next, you’ll get a tattoo.” She gave my shoulder a nudge.
“Maybe. Didn’t you say you wanted to try that tattoo place downtown?”
~Time skip to the next day~
“Were you serious about last night?” I had a headache. I believe this is what they called a hangover.
“About the tattoo? Yes. About anything else that I may have done or said last night? Maybe. No. Possibly. I don't remember anything after the tattoo thing.” I smiled.
“Cool! Let’s go!” She dragged me out the door of our room. She hailed us a taxi and it brought us to an actual tattoo place. “Now, what do you want to get?” I pulled up my sleeve.
“A blue fairy tail guild symbol right here.” I tapped it.
“Fairy… tail? Is that another one of your animes?”
“Yep!” I told the person there what I wanted.
“Oh, we get that sometimes. The girl over there knows how to do them. Just tell her where and what color.” I did as she said. The tattoo didn't hurt as much as everyone said it would.
