"You and I are going on a date tonight, Miss. Carlson." Joey said, while taking one of my hands and kissing the top with his lips. It was the end of the school day and we were standing outside in front of the school building.
"Oh really? And where are we going, Mr. Parker?" I replied with a smirk. He leaned in so his lips were close to my ear, "It's a surprise, but I recommend that you dress fancy tonight."
I smiled and rolled my eyes. I heard my brother honk the car horn, signaling to me that he was here to pick me up. I kissed Joey and began my way to the car.
"Don't forget! Dress fancy tonight! Be at your house, 7pm sharp! You better be ready!" I heard Joey yell behind me. I giggled and yelled back "Wouldn't bet on it, sweet cheeks!"; before leaving him behind.
"How do I look?" I asked my brother as I spun around in a circle. I was wearing a dress with heels and somehow my hair actually managed to hold curls in it. Daniel turned around and his eyes widened. "Chloe... you...you look beautiful." He said with a smile. I blushed and I looked down at my feet. I hadn't worn a dress since my parent's funeral...But this was a different occasion. It was time to make the best out of it.
I heard the doorbell ring and I smoothed out my dress before opening the door. My eyes stared at a boy... no not a boy... a gentlemen. Joey's hair was slicked back in gel and he was wearing a dress shirt, pants, and dress shoes. I honestly thought he looked better than me...
He smiled at me and his dimples poked out from his cheeks. "Chloe, you look gorgeous." He said, before sneaking a kiss from me. I bit my lip and I looked him up and down. "To be honest...I think you're the best looking one here." I said, while I began laughing.
He shook his head and grabbed my hand. "Ready, princess?" I nodded my head and let him take me to my big surprise.
