All I could think about on the way to the hospital is, Calum. That's really all I can think about still and our baby, we haven't even made baby names yet.
'Mum.' I say grabbing her arm.
'I need Calum, now or I'm not going to push as much as I want to so badly.' I say looking in her eyes.
'I'll go and text him, I'll be back in a minute.' She says walking off.
I let out a few heavy breaths as the contractions came back on.
'Your doing absolutely wonderful.' The doctor says with a smile.
I smile back. 'How much longer do you reckon?'
'Oh it's hard to tell, it could be an hour or an hour and a half. Your still pretty far from it.' He said.
I smile and breath heavily again.
Mum finally came back. 'He's just going past Western Australia, he shouldn't be too much longer. I told him if there is anyway possible to hurry up.' She says.
Western Australia is like on the other side of Australia..
'I'm not having this baby without him here.' I say getting teary.
'He's going to be here don't worry about it, worrying will make the baby come quicker.' She says.
I smile as the contractions slow down.
Half an hour has passed and the contractions keep coming, mum keeps texting Calum he says he is close he thinks he's about 20 minutes away.
'How much longer now?' I practically yell.
'Not too long, maybe another half an hour.' He says. 'Do you want me to get your garments?'
I nod and look down at what I am wearing, it's not the most comfortable thing to be in.
He smiles and leaves the room.
'Everything is going to be fine, you know that right?' Mum says.
I huff, 'yeah, I'm just scared.'
'You would be, but you've got me and Calum's parents.'
'I just wish dad was here.' I say getting teary. 'You never know, Calum and I might get married someday, I want him to walk me down the aisle.'
'Well when that day comes I'll give him a call, do you want me to call him now?'
'Yes, please.' I say, the contractions start again. I grab my stomach and wince in pain.
Mum walks out the room and the doctor came in with the hospital garments.
'Here you are.' He says and hands me them. I smile and grab the bar with my other hand and squeeze.
'Remember to breathe in and out alright. I'll be right back.'
'Where are you going?' I ask.
'I'm going to get the nurses and to get everything we need to deliver this baby.' He says with a smile and leaves.
'Great.' I say as the door closes.
I'm about to give birth and he's not here.
I get up once the contractions slow down and I get dressed. Once it's on I walk back to the bed and sit down again.
