25. 'I know, but it made you smile.'

Calum's P.O.V

We were walking down the road, it's quite a cold day, which is weird for this time of the year.

'Do you think that everyone is still asleep?' Stevie asks.

'Dont know, maybe. I know that Luke, Michael and Ashton are lazy fucks.' I laugh.

Stevie laughs as well. 'So Caitie and Michael, you think there's something going on there?' I ask.

'I don't know maybe.' I laugh. 'They were getting real cosy last night from what I remember.' I continue.

'Yeah, what do you remember from last night?' She asks.

'Not a lot.' I laugh. 'Nah but I remember that we watched heaps of movies and we played truth or dare, and I vaguely remember dancing and loud music, that's about it.' I say.

'Well when I woke up I had to turn all of the stereos off. Every single one was on.' She says with a slight smile.

We get to the park, I look to the swings and back at Stevie.

'Beat you to the swings.' I say.

'Oh you're on.' She says.

We both bolted to the swings, Stevie and I got there at nearly the same time, she was ahead by a fraction.

'I won!' She yells jumping on the swing. There was a normal swing and a baby swing.

'Fuck.' I say a little out of breath. 'I don't care, I will go on this one.' I say jumping on the baby swing.

'Ok, I'm happy with that.' Stevie laughs a little which makes me smile, but it doesn't last long. She starts to frown, I can see that her eyes were getting glossy.

'Stevie are you ok?' I ask.

'Please don't ask me that.' She says. I see a tear come down her face.

I get off my swing and kneel down in front of her and I put my arms on her knees and place my head on top of my arms.

'Stevie.' I say.

'What?' She asks.

'Look at me.' I say.

She hesitantly looked up. Her cheeks had fresh tears strolling down them.

'Tell me what's a matter. You haven't been yourself all day.' I say.

'Calum, what if I'm pregnant? I mean I only jut finished high school. Also, I'm really hungover.' She says.

'I am pretty sure I used protection last night.' I say thinking back to the night. I smile at the thought.

'What are you smiling about?' She asks.

'Us last night.' I say simply. 'I haven't had that much fun in ages.' I continue.

'Wait so you remember everything?' She asks.

'No not everything, just snippets.' I say. She sighs.

'Its going to be ok. It wasn't your first time was it?' I ask.

'No, no it wasn't.' She says.

'Ok good. Your not going to get pregnant, I think I know I did use a condom.' I say.

'That didn't make any sense.' She said with a smile. She sniffed her nose and wiped her tears.

'I know, but it made you smile.' I say. I smile as well as her, this time her smile didn't fade, it beamed brightly on her face.

We were just staring at each other for a moment, until Stevie kissed me.

'I like you Calum.' She says.

'I like you too.' I say, we both smile and kiss again. This moment is perfect.
