1. Chapter 1
Hannah sat in the car, her gaze fixed on a tree in the distance. Blending in with humans wasn't a strong point of hers. Now that hunting was in the picture, she feared for her being banished from Heaven for good. It's not like she wanted to return. She like being with the humans. Even though she didn't understand any human thing at all. She also enjoyed being on the road with Cas, even if she did think it would be easier for him to flash from place to place.
But driving seemed to make him happy. So she didn't bother him. After the tough time he had, she should be allowed some happiness. His fingers were curled around the steering wheel as he drove down the mostly deserted road. He had a blank expresssion as he drove and there was only silence in the car. After a few moments of silence, Castiel turned to her, frowning slightly.
"Are you okay?" He asked her softly. "I am fine. And you?." Hannah told him, her gaze still on the road. Her eyes were moving rapidly as they followed the lines on the road. "Fine...as always." Castiel replied. He allowed the corner of his lips to turn up in a small smile as he studied her for a brief moment before he turned his attention back to the road. "You do not get sick of driving, do you?" Hannah asked him. "You could flash wherever you wish in seconds." She continued. "I know. But i do enjoy driving. Though i don't exactly know why." He admitted with a small shrug, his fingers absentmindedly tapping on the steering wheel.
"Maybe you enjoy the humanity of it." Hannah said with a shrug at her suggestion. "It would make sense." She said and looked over at him. "Hm. Yes. I suppose you are right." He nodded and bit his lip as he pondered her words. "I'm sorry you're burdened with having Adina's grace." She sighed, wanting to find a way to help. "You could just stop, vanish and make a life."
"I know. But you have nothing to be sorry for." He reached over and gently patted her arm, his expression going blank. "I have everything to apologize for. I'm the one who betrayed you." She sighed. "I shouldn't have done that to you." Castiel just shrugged. "That doesn't matter anymore." He softly bit his lower lip. "Of course it matters." She sighed. "I ruined everything." She said and turned to look out the window. "I know. I know." Castiel sighed and ran a hand down his face. "Perhaps you should try to think of something else for now." He suggested.
"As you wish." Hannah said and cleared her head of the thoughts. "What would you like to do?" She asked him quietly. "I'm not sure." Castiel said and cleared his throat. as silence feel. His brow furrowed with worry.
