Harry and I walked back to the house laughing and excited about how I was able to go on Tour with them.
I opened the door and saw my Aunt sitting on the couch reading a 17 Magazine.
“Hey” I said casually to her.
Her head jerked to the side, when she saw me, she smiled warmly.
Harry walked over to the other side of the couch and sat down.
I nodded my head for Harry to talk.
My Aunt focused her attention to Harry.
“Well um, Lin, you do know I’m going on Tour with the boys around the world” Harry started.
“Mmhm” My Aunt replied nodding her head a little.
“Well I figured, since Kayla does online school, maybe she could go on Tour with me and the boys” Harry asked keeping a poker face.
He could not show any sign of excitement or else my Aunt would get suspicious and things would get pretty hectic around here.
My Aunt put her magazine down and looked at me.
I started to feel uncomfortable.
If she said no that means I would be stuck here without Harry for 3 months.
“Well…” She started standing up and pacing around the room.
My palms started to sweat and all of a sudden it started to feel very warm inside our house even though it was 35 degrees outside.
“I suppose you could go” She said.
“Yay” I yelled and started to jump up and down.
“If” My Aunt started again with her pointer finger in the air.
All of my enthusiasm went away.
Kind of like a balloon deflating.
I listened carefully.
“No funny business while I’m not there. Okay?” She asked.
“Okay” I said.
She glanced over at Harry who did not say anything.
“Harry? Is that okay with you? Can you do that?” She questioned through clenched teeth.
Her fists clenched tightly.
“Uhhh, yeah” He said.
“Not” he mumbled to himself.
“Did you say something Harry?” my Aunt asked with her strong British accent.
“No, no. Um, just a little itch in my throat” Harry lied.
My Aunt nodded her head.
Harry stood up and looked at his watch.
“Well you should probably go pack Kayla, Paul will come pick us up in an hour.” Harry said with a small smile.
I smiled back at him.
“Okay” I replied and walked up the winding staircase to go pack my stuff.
