Poems for the kind hearted, the broken hearted, the cold hearted, and the pure hearted

18. Spring

The Sunlight breaks through the trees

The flowers bloom

The birds room free

The snow melts and the air grows warm

the electric green grass

the loud, wet storms

ditch the thick winter coats

and bring out the skirts

flooded moats

the squirrels finding their buried nuts

those who are lost, grow into tall oaks

and hear the barking mutts

This is springtime, the time of the year

the time between winter and summer

The air so clear
