'I'm nervous.' I heard Scarlett say beside me.
We were a minute away from entering the plane. It was quite warm outside and we were all very tired. Especially because it was very, very early in the morning. The sun wouldn't rise in at least three hours and the runway was illuminated by several lights.
We said goodbye to Diane and walked up the steps, entering the plane.
I grabbed Scarlett's hand and squeezed it lightly, trying to comfort her.
Five minutes later, we had all put away our luggage - which consisted of plastic bags with some important stuff - and chosen a seat, Scarlett sitting between Niall and me, which - so she said - made her feel safer.
We fastened our seat belts and the plane started moving, slowly making more speed.
It started to lift off of the ground a few moments later and I felt my throat going dry.
Never thought it would be so hard to be inside a plane again.
But I also wanted to go home soon; and this was the only way to accomplish that.
I took a deep breath and gave Scarlett a reassuring smile. She looked far worse than I probably did. Dilated pupils, pale face and quick breaths.
I placed my hand on her thigh, stroking it soothingly.
I focused on Harry's touch and on my breathing. I closed my eyes and started to relax.
When I opened my eyes again, the lights suddenly went off, leaving us in the dark.
'W-what's happening?' I whispered loudly.
'They're turning the lights off so the passengers can sleep.' Niall whispered beside me.
His warm breath fanned the skin of my neck, making me shiver a little.
I slightly moved away from him. He made me feel things I didn't want to feel.
Not by him.
Harry started to stroke my thigh again and a while later, I dozed off, dreaming of coming home.
I rubbed my eyes when I woke up, squinting against the sunlight, coming through the small windows.
The view was breathtaking. The vast ocean was shimmering in the sunlight, like an ocean of diamonds.
I forgot about the fear I had previously felt and just stared at the view, before staring at how Harry was sleeping. I brushed some hair out of his face and cursed softly when he woke up.
'Sorry.' I whispered, when he opened his eyes.
'Doesn't matter. I like waking up when the first thing I see, is you.' He mumbled.
I chuckled and shook my head. 'Yeah, but you're just weird.'
Harry let out a small chuckle and closed his eyes again.
'If you don't mind, I'm going back to the Scarlett in my dreams.'
'Is the real Scarlett not good enough for you?'
He chuckled. 'The real Scarlett is nice. But the other one was taking her clothes off.'
I huffed. 'I'll tell her to stop, then.'
'Why?' He asked.
'Because sometimes, patience is all you need.' And with that, I carefully got up from my chair and walked to the toilet, smiling at the fact that - with a little luck - I would never have to do my business in the woods, with leaves as toilet paper, again.
When I was ready, I washed my hands and my mouth and threw some water on my face, before brushing my hair with my fingers.
I opened the door and walked out when I looked presentable and almost bumped into Harry in the process. 'Oh, didn't-' He cut off my words by pressing his lips onto mine, kissing me with passion.
I smiled at his minty breath and pushed him off me a little. 'You did not wake up with that breath.'
'The miracles of chewing gum.' Harry whispered.
He kissed me again, while his hands wandered over my body. My own hands slid down his chest, stopping by his waistband.
'Lower.' Harry said with a husky voice. His breath had accelerated and I noticed mine had, too.
I shook my head, taking a step back. 'Not here, Harry. Patience, remember? When we get home, and we've had enough rest, then I'll give you all I've got, okay? We're in a plane for God's sake...'
He sighed, nodding.
I cupped his face. 'I'm excited to go home.'
'Me too.' He grabbed my hand and pressed it against the bulge in his pants.
'Harry!' I whisper shouted, pulling my hand back.
'It's your own fault, you know.' He said, smirking.
I laughed and opened the curtain which separated the toilet portion from the main portion.
'Well, I'm going to use the toilet.' Harry said, stepping inside the men's toilet.
While I walked to my seat, I smiled.
I was sure life would never be the same again, but maybe; that was exactly what I had needed.
Everything happens for a reason. And even though being stuck in a jungle had been very tough; I knew it had changed my life for the better.
