The Big Book of Demons

Demons lurk among us all. Songs are written about them, many worship them, many slaughter them and hunt them. But the majority fear them, cower from them for them to corrupt you and terrorize your very souls. This book, whether it may be of use to you is none of its concern, but to advise you, guide you and help against the beings of the dark, the fire, the hate. I and my sister are experienced Demon Hunters, and we know the horrors these creatures cause.

20. 18 - Nevermore

(Hope you don't mind Vicky, but I'd thought I'd do a Grimm as well.                                                                                                        Well if you do mind, tough luck.)

Division 4

A Nevermore is a gigantic bird like Grimm, with a wingspan that can vary from 20m to over 50m.

The Nevermore is the only avian type of Grimm that is thus known and due to this, it is a deadly and vicious. Unlike some of its other Grimm cousins, it is not armour plated as much, with only its head being clad in bone. However, this does not mean this vast behemoth isn't vulnerable; it is not only agile in the skies, but its sheer physical size means it is able to withstand heavy projectiles and hits. Due to its four eyes, two on either side of its head, it has sharp vision and can spot prey from miles away or hundreds of  thousands of feet in the air.

Weapons and Powers:
The Nevermore has an array of weapons at its disposal, as hard to believe as it may seem. The creature uses its bony head crest as a means to bash its victims with a powerful head-butt, coming down from the sky at great speeds. A simple set of weapons that are very simplistic but are very effective are its talons, able to pick up prey and drop them from sheer heights, making their skeletons crack as they hit the hard floor. Finally, and very uniquely, the Nevermore can launch a barrage of spear-like feathers down onto a target area at high speeds, annihilating all those in its wake.

How to Kill:
The bigger Nevermores will take a great set of cunning and skill to bring down, with an almost complete sever of the head being the only thing that seems to be affective. However, if one should have a weapon that can excel a hell of a lot of lead into the air (say a minigun or powerful shotgun) then these creatures will find it much harder to avoid the absolute bombardment.

Watch those skies. A Nevermore is a match you do not want to meet, with only the greatest sets of wit and skill being of any match to this monster.
