(I hate you, Aldrin, I really do.)
Griever - The Maze Runner
They can crush you, so they're pretty big. No one's got close enough with a tape-measure to actually measure.
It's a bulbous, dark creature with several appendages such as spikes, shears and rods. It can Prick and Sting people which causes them extreme pain, and if they don't get treatment, lets say it's not pretty....dark veins spread over them, going up to their neck, they can only be stopped if the Serum is taken.
When they move they make a mechanical noise, almost like robots.
It's purpose is to kill. And that is it. It will kill you unless you kill it.
Weapons and Powers:
Something that has weapons! For the first time! I'm so impressed with myself!
Right, now, I'll go onto explain....
The spikes, shears and rods which can send you into The Changing.
The Changing is when you go through a range of hallucinations and see memories which you may have lost. Even with the serum, you'll be screaming for days. I've seen people go through it, it's horrific.
The tail they possess is mechanical, it can splay out and grab you, therefore killing you.
Grievers have a strong sense of where you are, hence why, if fighting them, you must hide and stay as quiet and as still as possible, or that tail can grab you, throw you into the air, kill you and then the Griever would devour you.
They can climb walls so just run and get to a large open space.
Sounds great, doesn't it...
How to Kill:
These things are pretty stupid, so, if you're cornered, just dive out of the way at the last minute, if you have space, but your best bet is to stab them. But it's harder than you think, they're machines.
You've all heard of the Minitour, right?
So do what that guy did, it's your best bet, and if you're at a cliff, just move out of the way and let it drown. On a bridge, use all you've got to shove it over.
If you've got a match, or fire. Don't use it, it's pointless and a waste of time.
Don't be an idiot and charge it head-on. You'll get flattened, so follow the advice unless you want to be screaming your head off and trying to kill yourself for a week.
