The Big Book of Demons

Demons lurk among us all. Songs are written about them, many worship them, many slaughter them and hunt them. But the majority fear them, cower from them for them to corrupt you and terrorize your very souls. This book, whether it may be of use to you is none of its concern, but to advise you, guide you and help against the beings of the dark, the fire, the hate. I and my sister are experienced Demon Hunters, and we know the horrors these creatures cause.

12. 10 - Bloodthirster

Bloodthirsters of Khorne

Division 4

Greater Daemon

Most stand at the height of ten metres tall, but the largest of their kind can be the size of up to 40 metres tall.

One may guess the link between Bloodletters and Bloodthirsters, and one would be correct; Bloodthirsters are the greater daemons of Khorne and their reputation on the battlefield is mortifying, so much so that the embodiment of a classic looking demon comes from these titans. Large membranous wings sprout from their back, allowing them to more or less jump and fly for a limited time before crashing down onto the ground with the force of an earthquake. They have cloven hooves that heat the very ground beneath them with each pace they take. Their large horns embrace their power and strength, to flaunt to their mortal victims.
They are the heavy weight battle tanks of a daemon army, clad in armour that even the most powerful of cannons cannot penetrate for those who would dare challenge this beast at cowardly range rather than in righteous close combat. They are the most skilled of fighters, with only the most heroic mortal champions could only hope for a slim chance of survival, even smaller for the urge of victory.

Weapons and Powers:
Whilst Vicky it seems is finding it hard to find a demon that uses a weapon, I for one am finding many, and the Bloodthirster is no exception.
They wield the most finely tuned armament that a daemon could hope to bare. Their primary weapon is an axe, the symbolic weapon of the Blood God, Khorne, and a secondary whip. The axe can cleave through even the thickest of metals, splitting a tank in half with ease like it was butter. But they do not only decimate a mortal's physical body, but also his soul as an offering to Khorne. Their whip is to engage targets at range and although not as satisfying as obliterating a foe with the swing of an axe, it still allows them to strike down their victims that are too quick.
Their powers are limited, but their sheer might and prowess means that powers are not needed; their mere presence is enough to drive the enemy in retreat.

How to Kill:
A Bloodthirster is one of the most terrifying daemons to challenge, but a certain few have succeeded in besting one. Make no mistake, they are highly skilled in combat and strategy, so make sure that you are the best you can be and have your wits about you when engaging one.
They are not the fastest of attackers, so as a smaller target, use your agility and speed to your advantage. Keep striking it little by little, then when an opening comes, a blow to the head with a powerful bow, gun or even a blade if you manage to get up there will bring it down.

Be courageous, gallant and fearless towards these beasts, they are more powerful than beyond belief. Although I have never faced one, I daren't say I want to.
