~~ Harry's POV (but not in first person)
Harry walked along the sidewalk, ignoring the paps. He smiled. He loved being around Clare. Even more than Lily, and he actually was thinking about proposing. How silly!
Harry stopped outside of the One Direction tour bus. He will have to tell the boys he's not proposing anymore.
Harry took a breath, and climbed inside. Niall, Zayn, and Louis were asleep.
Liam looked up from his phone. "Hey, mate! Where have you been?"
Harry plopped down on the couch. "I want to stay here...in New York City!" he said, ignoring Liam.
"Oh...were you with Lily? Have you proposed yet?" Liam sounded giddy.
"Actually..." Harry said, "I'm going to break up with her."
"What?" Liam jumped up. "Why?"
"I met someone else..." Harry smiled, thinking of Clare. "She's sweet...and real!"
"Who? Who?" Liam questioned, sounding like a kid.
"She had told me her name was Samantha...but it's really Clare..."
Liam's face grew grim. "Did you just say Clare? As in Clare Sumners?" Liam asked, his voice stern and deep.
"Yea? I think that's her last name..." Harry said. "Do you know her?"
Liam pushed his shoulders back, and poised his lips. "You need to stay away from her!"
Harry was confused. "What? Why?"
"Because she's a tease! She ruined my life. Because of her, I can't trust anyone!" Liam shouted, growing more and more angry. "I HATE her..."
"What?" Harry laughed. "You must be confused with someone else!"
"No..." Liam said. "She pretends she likes you, but once you drop your girlfriend, she'll leave you. Just like that!"
"No, you have it all wrong! We have a connection!" Harry argued. Liam was wrong. He had no idea what he was talking about.
"I thought we had one too! I told her I loved her! Then she just crushed my heart, like it was no big deal!" Liam yelled, waking the others up.
"No, I don't believe you!" Harry yelled back, standing up and throwing his hands around furiously. "We have something special!"
"I'm telling you Harry. As a friend, just stay with Lily. It's for the best..." Liam demanded.
Hot tears streamed down Harry's face. Anger built up inside him, and he threw the small table beside the couch into the window. "No!" he screamed. Then he ran outside. He had no idea where to go, but he kept running. Liam was lying. He had to be! It couldn't be true! That would explain, though, why Clare was being so desperate to get with him. Does that mean everything at the park was fake? It couldn't be! Could it?
