25. Pre-Prom

Pre-Prom Cp. 25

I had the worst birthday ever. I cried in my room, when I got back to the house. I refused to go downstairs.

My lie was haunting me. Day and night. How could I lie to Calum.

How could I say that I didn't love him.

Cause, I did. A lot.

It was the morning before prom, and I didn't have to attend to school.

Which meant I had an entire day to find a new dress.

I really regretted the ugly black one I bought. It wasn't because it was expensive or anything. So I wouldn't loose much money.

My sister went into town with me.

She told me she already had found the perfect dress for me, and as she described it, it did sound quite perfect.

It was a simple chiffon dress. Matching my blue eyes.

It had a V-neck, and thick-ish straps.

It was so long, I had to wear heels or else I would fall.

We didn't just buy the new dress for me, we bought the matching high heels, and I wore some of the most expensive jewelry I got for my birthday.

I was now ready for prom.

As I walked down 5 feet wide stairs to the entrance I saw Jamal waiting in front of the door.

He stood up straight, and had his hands folded in his front.

He was wearing a black tuxedo, and his hair slicked back.

He looked like a jerk.

I mean: He IS a jerk.

He smirked, and I found his eyes uncomfortable as they watched every inch of me.

"You look.." He started

"Awesome." I finished his sentence, although that probably wasn't what he was going to say.

I followed him to my driveway, and just like I imagined he had ordered a limousine.

The driver stepped out, and opened the door for us.

I got in, and Jamal sat down next to me.

He had a bottle of champagne in his hand, which brought back good memories of the last time I drank in a limo.

Of course Jamal was no comparison to 5 Seconds of Summer.

He only brought one glass, and he poured it up for himself.

What a jerk.

Well, it wasn't like I was going to drink his stupid champagne anyway.

Or would that be exactly like he predicted?

He don't know me.

He shouldn't pretend to know me.

I turned my head towards him with a flip of my hair.

"Aren't you going to give me some?" I said with both eyebrows raised.

He chuckled, and gave me the entire bottle.

I grabbed it, and took a sip.

"Wow, thanks!" I said with a fake enthusiasm.

We had only just finished the bottle as the driver pulled over.

We were at prom, and a ton of cars were driving past the entrance, and dropping formal-clothed teenagers off.
