Fallen Angel

He was a boy. To her he was an angel. She was a waitress. To him she was a beauty. ★★★★★ One Direction/Supernatural crossover/AU. ★★★★★ I got the ideas for this story from the TV show Supernatural, so 97.5% of the credit goes to the producers, cast, and script writers. Also, everything you're about to read is fake. I made this all up, and whatever is the same in reality is just a coincidence. I am not religious, and I have no intentions of making this hurtful or rude to any existing religion.

5. Four

At work I impatiently waited behind the receptionist desk for Niall to come barging in again. I had to find out what was going on. When Niall had told me to forget about what I heard the other day I did, but from what I've seen and heard last night I couldn't push the curiosity away. The urge to find out was so overwhelming I felt like I would burst. The morning felt so long, but that's only because I couldn't stop wondering when Niall would show up.

My shift was finally over, and he still didn't show. I sighed deeply and thought that I could just go visit him now. When I walked out of the building I saw that little punk standing outside, leaning against a sleek black, vintage-style car.

"Niall!" I called as I walked up to him. "We need to talk."

"Right now?" he questioned.

"Yes, right now. I need you to tell me what the hell is going on."

"You mean when I tried to warn you yesterday but you wouldn't listen?"

"Mhm," I confirmed. "Please."

"Did that guy you were with last night hurt you?" Niall asked.

"No, but--"

Then you don't need to know. At least not just yet."

"What? You were planning on telling me last night and now you want me to get lost?"

"I wasn't planning on telling you anything. And you also don't believe in this crap, remember?"

"No. The only thing I'm going to tell you is that you can't trust anyone." Something told me that no matter how hard I push him right now he won't give in.

I let out a deep sigh and wit a roll of my eyes left. I was going to find out one way or another. Just watch.

As I neared my car my phone rang. It was a call from my mom.

"Hey, mom," I answered.

"Hun, where are you right now?" she asked.

"I just left left work," I said.

"Can you please pick up some ice cream?" my mom requested.

"Sure, mom."

I made it to the nearest food market and went straight to the frozen products aisle. I quickly grabbed a box of vanilla ice cream and popsicles and went for the cash register.

"Hello, ma'am," the cashier greeted. "How are you this morning?"

"Good, thank you," I replied.

The guy scanned my items and put them in a bag. "That will be ten thirty-five." I paid him and thanked him. "You're welcome, ma'am," he said.

When I grabbed my bag was ready to leave, I saw him look at me with a sinister smile. But that's not what made me run. It was his eyes. They were pitch black, like the dark side of the moon.I gasped and broke into a run, not looking back. People looked at me like I was crazy, but I didn't care. I ran back to my car, got in, and began to speed all the way home.

I thought I was beginning to hallucinate. I was so scared. What was happening? Was I going mad? Or was all of this real? I wanted to lock myself in my room and never come out again, but I had school in a couple of hours, so that wasn't an option.

When I got home I put the ice cream in the freezer and went to my room. I made sure my window was closed before ran into my closet. I set an alarm for two hours from now and closed my eyes. I hugged my knees tightly as tears began to slowly roll down my cheeks.

Music began to play, waking me up from my nightmare-filled nap. I recognized the tune- it was Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me. I opened my eyes and saw nothing but darkness. I was confused at first, but then remembered where I was. I was in my closet, hiding from whatever was out there. I turned off my alarm and rubbed my eyes as they adjusted to the darkness. I slowly opened the door, prepared for whatever was lurking in my room.

When I was satisfied with my surroundings I got up and stretched. I looked at the time. It was an hour before my first class, so I had plenty of time.

I made my way to the kitchen and saw my dad talking with Niall. Why was he here? What could he possibly have to talk about with my dad? I couldn't help but think that my dad was in on all this bull. I quickly took a bottled iced tea from the fridge and began to make my way to the front door with my bag on my shoulder.

"Robin," Niall called.

I turned around before walking out the door. "What do you want?" I spat.

"I just need you to listen to me," he replied.

"Listen, I'm going to be late to work, okay? Make it quick. What do you want?"

"In that case, is it okay if I drive you?"

I thought that through in my head. Why not? At least if I saw something weird I wouldn't be the only one-- hopefully. I just wished he didn't turn out to be one of them.

"Okay," I agreed. "Dad, Niall is driving me this time!"

"Alright, sweetie!" my dad called.

Niall followed me out of the house and we went over to his car. I didn't notice earlier, but Niall's car was beautiful. I noticed what it was right away. It was a Buick Riviera 1965. I loved it. I always wanted a car like this. Not specifically a Riviera '65, but something along those lines.

"I love your car," I complimented.

"Thanks," Niall replied. "It's a hand-me-down from my dad."

"Still, it's a classic."

We got in and when Niall started her up he turned up a classic rock station. At least he had a great taste in music.

"So what was it you wanted to tell me?" I asked.

"Okay, I need to tell you everything," Niall said.

"About time, isn't it?"

"What you heard the other day in the medical office, it's all true. Demons exist. They are looking for you right now as we speak."

"What?" I was confused. Why would they be looking for me? "Why?"

"They want a book that your family has," Niall explained. "No one knows was it's about. Neither does your family. In fact, even the demons don't. But we all know something important is written in that book. Something that will be dangerous if it lands in the hands of the King of Hell."

"The King of Hell?"

"Yes. Besides Lucifer, he is the most dangerous one in hell after the Knights of Hell were killed. So whatever this book holds, you need to protect it."

"Can you explain something else to me?" I requested.

"Sure, what is it?" Niall asked.

"Since last night, I kept seeing people with black eyes. Was I hallucinating?"

"Did Adam have those eyes, too?"

"Yes," I answered.

"Those are demons," Niall said. "They are meant to help Lucifer, the King of Hell, Azazel, et cetera. Try to stay away from them." Adam was a demon? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I prayed so hard that I was just seeing things. "You need to skip work one day so I can explain things better to you. Also, you are going to need a hex bag. Oh, and a tattoo."

"A tattoo?"

"Yes, like this one." He took one hand off the wheel and showed me the tattoo-- out of many-- I was supposed to get. This one stood out more because it wasn't on his arm. It was on the left side of his chest. It had something like a pentagram on it. "It is supposed to protect you from being demonically possessed," Niall explained. "It doesn't matter if you don't want to get it. You have to, no questions asked. Without it, it would be easier to kill you."

This all sounded so serious. I wasn'r ready for all of this to be thrown on me so suddenly. I was only twenty.

"Niall," I spoke, "How old are you?"

"Twenty-two," he answered.

"And when did you start to hunt?"

"When I was sixteen. I had training before that, so it wasn't like I was being thrown under a bus without any knowledge. I think of it as being thrown under the bus with knowledge of what awaits for me in the near future. It's the family business."

"Did you ever consider dropping all that and having a normal life?"

"Yes, but I also thought about what the world would be like with less hunters."

"Hunters?" I questioned.

"People who kill demons and other monsters," Niall said. "Like werewolves, vampires, ghosts, shape-shifters, and all those kinds of freaks."

We pulled up to my college. I had so many more questions, I didn't want to leave this car. Looked like I needed to drop the diner once and for all. But that meant less money for my family. But at the same time, I needed to protect my family, so I had to learn more about all of this demonology.
