2. Does It Have To Be This Way?
Emilia was out at school today and was hoping to leave Grace with Josh for the day, but no doubt he would give her to his parents and go into LA for the day not even thinking about his daughter. She got dressed into a white tee and denim shorts and her new white converses, put her brown hair into a ponytail and put on a minimal amount of makeup (that's what being a mom drove her to!) She gave Grace a bottle and then called Josh. He answered and said "What do you want, Em?" Sounding pretty hungover and grumpy. "I'm only calling to see if you can look after Grace whilst I'm at school. If you recall, you've already completed your education and actually have a life!" She yelled down the phone. "God Em, shut up! I'm feeling so sick today, wouldn't want to give it to Grace would I? Only want what's best for my kid!" He shouted. "Josh, can you calm down! I only asked you to receive a yes or no answer, but you clearly don't care about Grace and me as much as you say you do!" She shouted, picking up Grace who just started crying. "No Em, I don't care about you at this moment. When youve snapped out of this bitchy mood come over with Grace later." And with that he hung up.
Emilia picked up Grace's diaper bag, her own school bag and then headed downstairs to her parents to have breakfast. "Morning Mil." Her father, Michael Castellano said taking Grace off her and placing her on his knee. "Morning daddy, how was the dinner last night?" She asked, sitting down next to her brother and eating her freshly cooked pancakes her mom made. "It was great darling, the Devello's are so lovely!" Her mom, Alessandra Castellano interuppted, placing pancakes in front of her husband. "Great." She said stuffing pancake into her mouth. "So who were you arguing with up there, Mill?" Her father said, making Emilia choke on her food she didn't realise how angry she was. "Just Josh being an asshole dad, as per usual." She sighed. "Mill, why are you still with him? All he does is hurt you and Grace. It would make your life easier of you left him, let him still see Grace obviously." Her father asked. "Daddy, I love him. With all his flaws and all the annoying things about him, I love him and he's the father of my child." Emilia explained. "Milly, you've not been yourself since Gracie was born and it's all down to that boy." Her mom said. "Can you just but out of my private life please! I know your my parents and I know you just want me to be happy, but I'm only ever going to be happy if you stop grilling me every meal about breaking up with Josh. I'm going to school, I'll see you later." She said storming out of the kitchen, grabbing Grace from her dad, brushing her teeth, grabbing her and Grace's bags and leaving there house to go drop of Grace and head to school.
