3. The Robbery

~~I waited for the signal. I glanced down at my casual jeans and blue heart emblazoned t-shirt, Saph had insisted we had to wear our normal clothes ‘make it more normal’, as if I had any normal left in my life! I sat hiding in the vast tree facing the shop which was bustling with rich people looking to buy expensive objects to wear.
“Come!” Amber’s voice urged in my head. I didn’t have much choice but to follow the command. I flew down to where two figures of my friends were stood. Amber, who seemed to have taken charge of the raid, opened the door. It took me a few seconds to realise the other girls had already silently walked into the shop.
The shop had everything anyone could ever want. I watched nervously as Saph fried the electric circuits of all the cameras in the shop. I was pretending to browse at the stock as I saw three silver necklaces in a sparkling case. Each one had a beautiful gem in the shape of a heart in the centre and a silver heart embedded with diamonds surrounding it. One was red, one was orange and one was blue. One was a ruby, one was amber and one was a sapphire. These marvels had our names on them, literally!
“All cameras out!” Amber merrily said in my mind, “Everyone in the building thinks we’ve left the shop. Ruby, take them now!”
I instantly received the message, I pictured the glass door opening, I saw the mechanism on the inside, and it was magnificent and somehow beautiful. Click! The door swung open. The three priceless necklaces gently flew out of the case. I lifted myself as well.

I instantly received the message, I pictured the glass door opening, I saw the mechanism on the inside, and it was magnificent and somehow beautiful. I focused on it for a few long seconds. Click! The door swung open. The three priceless necklaces gently flew out of the case.
I braced myself, preparing to fly away with the jewels from the scene of the crime when an angry high pitched female voice yelled out from behind me,
 "Put them down missy!"
I froze in my tracks, not daring to move a muscle. "Amber!" I urged desperately in my mind. Time seemed to slow down as I was paralysed in tumble of emotions,  fear, rage and shock. Fortunately,  Amber had my back as she had promised. As I turned to face the unarmed posh woman she seemed to refocus, she seemed to forget I was even there. She spun round and walked away as a bolted out the pristine shop and glided away clutching the precious object in my clenched fists.

I landed precisely outside the house. I flung the door open and bolted In.
About an hour later my team mates arrived back at the house. We sat on the shining black leather sofas and laughed about the experience. It was about an hour later when Saph asked me what I'd actually taken. Her eyes widened as I pulled out the three matching silver necklaces. Amber jogged over to see what was going on, she gasped as she saw them sat on my outstretched palm.
"I'll have the Ruby one! Saph take the sapphire one! Amber the amber one! Don't you see these were made for us!" I exclaimed excited to see how they were going to respond. They were both grinning madly as they delicately picked up there special presents.
"Thank you Ruby!  These are beautiful." Saph smiled. Amber seemed less impressed but politely thanked me anyway. We helped each other put them on and then stood in a little huddle.  I finally plucked up the courage to ask,
"So, what now?"
"Well..."
