I was walking through a hallway. It was lighted at the end and there were people chanting "Ari! Ari!" I didn't know who they were chanting for. As soon as I reached the light there was a stage set up and a whole crowd was in front of me. I looked around to see that everyone was cheering and some girl fainted in the front row. I looked down and saw a microphone in my right hand.
I looked to the other side of the stage and there was Harry. He was dressed in a casual suit with some formal boots and was smiling with his hands in his pockets.
I looked back to the crowd and a bright light was shining in my eye.
"Spencer!" I was sitting upright and my sister was grabbing me by the shoulders. "How do you sleep that deep? You're going to be late for school. This isn't like you. Darcy's here again. She's helping you get ready just like yesterday's routine except she's making breakfast downstairs. How was dinner last night?" "Good." "Did Harry make a good impression?" "My dad didn't tell me that yet."
I rushed into the shower and realized that she was already in my room and set everything up. I was so glad that she helped me get ready yesterday. I mean I really wanted to show Harry that I wasn't the type of weak person after a heartbreak.
I got out and there was a causal outfit laid out for me. There was a cup of tea on the counter with a toast and egg. I changed into a vineyard vine crew t-shirt and some light skinny jeans rolled up a little at the bottom and some white converses.
I quickly ate my breakfast and hurried and brushed my teeth. I went out and Darcy was there. "The curler is heated." "Thanks." I sat down and started my light makeup while she did my hair. I went a little overboard with my lashes though. I don't know why, but I'm obsessed with my lashes.
"Done." I looked up and it was my normal half up - half down look with a white laced bow in the back and lightly curled at the bottom.
"Thanks again." "What are friends for." There was a honk and I rushed downstairs.
My father was waiting for me by the door. "I'm not letting you go out until you give me a hug." He smiled and had his arms open for a warm embrace.
I went out and saw that Harry was waiting. He had something on his mind. I could tell.
"Hey." "Babe. I missed you." "Missed you too." I leaned up and kissed him. I had to grab onto his hip because he was so damn tall. He felt uneasy when I stepped back and he looked toward my house. I looked the same direction and my father was on the porch watching us.
"You should get inside." "Yeah." "How long is he staying here?" I shrugged and said, "Depends."
He opened the car door for me and closed it when I got in. I waited for him to close his and said, "You don't have to be afraid of him. He's not going to hurt you." He looked at me and licked his lips saying, "I wish I could believe you."
He backed up and started to drive.
It was lunch time and me and Harry were both sitting together and Niall and Louis were both disgusted because me and Harry would start making flirty motions to each other.
"You two need to stop. I'm eating here." "Why don't you go do it with with my sister Eleanor? You two have been going out for some time." "Yeah, but she's sort of a little too jumpy." "Sort of?"
I nudged Harry and said, "She's not always jumpy." "Now, let's not exaggerate but I think she's a five year old sometimes when I go on those dates with her. I wish she could act more mature. You know what I'm saying?" I nodded and said, "I've asked that all throughout my life."
They all chuckled and Darcy sat down next to Niall and kissed him on the cheek and said, "So, I've got these tickets to Mariah Carey. You wanna come with Niall?" "Nah. Not a big fan."
"Not a big fan? Niall I'm ashamed of you! Spence, please tell me you listen to Mariah Carey." Harry and I stared at each other and Harry said, "She sounds a lot like her. So, I'm hoping she's a fan."
I blushed and said, "That's an honor to get compared to her, and I'd love to go." "Awesome. The concert is in three weeks. So, we have plenty of time to get ahead and make sure we're school ready before going over." "Thanks." "No biggy."
There was a squeal across the room and we all looked over. Kate was arm linked with River. I forgot all about River. Damn.
"Here comes trouble." Kate spotted our table and walked over. Harry set his hand on my leg and started to rub his thumb for comfort. I set my hand on his and looked into his eyes and pecked his lips saying, "Don't worry I'm not going to do anything stupid."
He raised his eyebrow and said, "I don't believe you." "Honesty is the--" "Number one rule in your family." "Our family."
That made him smile. He pecked my lips and there were people clearing their throats and said, "PDA." I rolled my eyes and tried not to look at Kate and River who were coming over to us.
"Hey bitches how are you all today?" That made me smirk for some reason. I don't know why.
"Look. The only bitch here is you. You stole everything from Spencer, and you're continuing right now." She gasped and said, "I'm offended. I didn't steal anything away from her." We all looked at River and he was trying his best not to turn into a tomato right then.
"Look, he has nothing to deal with Spencer." "Oh, an ex has nothing to deal with this?" "What?"
We glared at River and he looked away. "Just get out of here." "I just wanted to remind you all that there's tryouts for the broadway show today and tomorrow." "Can't make it today. I have lacrosse and they said they might have another one tomorrow. We're playing our rivals this Friday night."
She rolled her eyes and said, "Well, then. Another girl will have the roll that I was excited to give you then. Happy days for her."
I glared at her and said, "I don't want to be a part of you messed up play anyways." "It's not messed up." "You messed up a love story. Damn right you messed it up." She bit her lip hard that it turned redder then it already was. She turned on her heals and marched off.
"I swear this school would a be an airport if bitches could fly." People started to laugh and I just sat there.
Darcy was taking me somewhere to get my prom dress. Harry was going to take me and I still didn't get a dress. We were literally there for hours. I didn't know what to chose and Darcy was brain damaged by a little girl that kept coming up to her like she was he mother.
I kept looking until I saw the perfect one. I set it out to look at it and turned toward Darcy. She looked at me and her eyes were wide open. "How did you find that? It's perfect! Turn it around."
She looked at the back and surely it was a low cut. The dress was like a greek goddess dress. The whole dress was salmon colored and the front had a wrap design with glittered wholes on the sides. The back had four thick straps that was glittered and seemed to connect the low cut back to the top.
I was so proud of my treasure that I found. "Now, the shoes." "I'm just gonna get nude pumps. I'm probably going to take them off anyways." She shrugged and nodded in agreement.
We got out of the store and Kate was coming in. We gave each other glares and I was literally ready to stab her.
As she walked in River ran toward us. He smiled at me and said, "Already found you dress?" I nodded and looked away. I could tell that he was checking me out from behind. I didn't have anytime for him.
I wish I never met him.
