"Babe. Babe, wake up." I rubbed my eyes to see who was waking me up. Harry.
"Damn it Harry why do you have to wake me up now? Why not... I don't know." I looked up and he smirked at me. He cupped my cheek and rubbed his thumb smoothly and said, "Love you."
That made me smile. It was the first time I smiled in the morning. "Harry?" He looked down at me and tapped my nose saying, "Hurry. I made breakfast." "First, get off of me."
I giggled and headed downstairs as soon as I got my Uggs on.
I found pancakes, eggs, sausage, and tea waiting for me. They were still steaming too. I looked at him and said, "What is this for?" He raised his eyebrows and said, "You don't remember?" I shook my head. I felt pretty bad right then.
He looked a little hurt and then chuckled and said, "Usually the girl would be all excited and the boy would forget. I didn't realize how in love with you I am." "Harry, I'm sorry, but--" He cut me off with a kiss.
I pulled away and said, "Harry." "Happy anniversary, Spence."
I gasped and he got scared. "I'm so sorry! I forgot. I didn't even plan anything. I was so--" "Worked up on the new kids on the block? Yeah, I guessed it." I sighed and said, "What is life without you Harry? I swear you're killing me."
I ruffled his hair and started to eat.
We got to school soon after and everyone was cheering in the parking lot. Most of them were seniors. I looked at Harry and leaned my head into his shoulder. He rubbed his thumb on my shoulder and we leaned back onto the car, watching the other people.
After school I went over to Eric. He's been avoiding me, I could tell. "Eric, wait up." He turned and smiled and said, "I thought you and Harry would be going somewhere special right after school. It is your anniversary." "Ok. Does everyone know that our anniversary was today?" "The whole school."
He tucked his hands into his pocked and smirked and said, "Forgot didn't you."
I stared at him and said, "I have to plan something for him, but I don't know what. What does a guy like?" He raised his eyebrows and said, "Why are you asking me? I'm completely different from Harry. You should ask someone that knows him well."
He nudged his head over to where Niall was standing. I looked over and Darcy was coming up to him and kissed him. I looked back at Will and said, "Thanks." I gave him a side hug and left.
"Hey, Niall. Please tell me you know something that Harry would love to get--" "As his anniversary gift? You see Darce? I told you she would forget." I glared and said, "Move on with it. I need a present." "All he ever wanted was to spend a whole day with you. You two unluckily have an anniversary on a school day so no can do for that one."
I motioned him to continue, but Darcy pulled on him and said, "Niall. Our reservations at The Jack's is ready. I just called them. We should go get ready." "Right. Spencer, just give him something that you think is right for him." "Thank you for the cliché answer. It helped a lot." "I'm just saying."
They walked off and I was left alone. Eric already left and no one else was here.
I walked out of the school building and saw Harry standing near his car. I pulled off my best smile and went up to him. "Hey." I went up and kissed him.
He pulled away and said, "Why are you feeling down? It's our anniversary." "I'm fine."
He gave me a reassuring look and held me closer to him. One of his hands were on my hip and the other on the small of my back. He kissed the top of my head and said, "Look, I don't care that you forgot our anniversary. It's important that you know it right now ok?"
I nodded my head and he kissed me on the head again and patted me on my back and said, "Now, I made dinner plans for The Jack's. I think you'll really love their soup." "That's where Darcy and Niall are going." "Really?" I nodded and he smiled saying, "Well, I just want this date to be you and me ok?" "I won't ruin it."
He slid his finger under my chin and pulled me closer with his hand behind my back. "If I see a frown on that face one more time, I'm going to do something that you'll probably regret." "What's that?" "Scream out how much I love you through a song."
I bit my lip and said, "I think I'll just like it through kisses and hugs." He smiled and pecked my lips.
"So, would you like anything with your soup ma'me?" "No thank you." "Alright. Your orders will be back as soon as possible. You two have a nice anniversary." "Thank you sir."
I smiled at Harry and he said, "What?" "Sir? I never though I would see a polite Harry Styles." "Well, I wanted to be kind on this day at least to other people for you."
I smiled bigger and giggled. "Oh, before I forget, I have something for you." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. It was covered in a silk velvet coating. I gasped and said, "Harry--" "No, it's not a proposal. This..." He opened the box and it contained a two beautiful rings.
He took the one with the key and held my hand gently. I saw that inside, engraved, was my name. He slipped it through my finger and it fit perfectly. "How did you--" "You sister sort of measured it while you were sleeping.
I smiled and cried at the same time. "It's beautiful."
He drove me and home and we were laughing and talking like it was a normal day. When he walked me toward my house, my father was sitting on the front porch. Great.
I went up to the house with Harry and my father cleared his throat and said, "How was your night?" "It was good sir, thank you for letting me take her out." "It's your anniversary. It's a special night for you two."
I looked down and there were two suit cases next to him and a brief case on his lap. "Dad. Where ar--" "London, but just for two months. I'm sorry that I'm going to miss your prom tomorrow, but it's really important. I hope you understand."
He set his briefcase down and came over to me. I held my head and kissed me on the forehead. A cab pulled up and dad looked at it and said, "That's my signal to leave." He let go of me and went over to Harry and grabbed him be his shoulder and said, "Son, take care of her and chose wisely." "Yes sir."
"I have some alcohol-free apple cider in there. That's my little gift to you Spencer." "Would you like me to help you with your bags?" "Yes."
I sat down on my chair and waited for Harry. He sat down next to me and wrapped his arm around me. "It's going to be alright." I smiled weakly and leaned on his shoulder.
"It's getting we should probably go inside."
He walked me in and led me upstairs. I went to the bathroom and got into something comfortable. He luckily had some clothes that he left here and changed too.
I got out to find him on my bed half asleep. He already got the apple cider out with two glasses. I sat next to him and was startled and put his arm around me saying, "Sorry, did I go--" "No. Cider?" He nodded.
I opened it a poured some for him. "Thank you for the dinner by the way. It was really good." "I thought you would like it."
I smiled and let him put his arm around me. He rubbed his thumb on my shoulder while I set my head on his shoulder. "You wanna watch something?" "Yeah. I see that you got "The Notebook"."
I giggled and said, "Don't you think that you would get tired of watching that because it's so chickie?" "No, I think it's wonderful when I'm with you."
I smiled up at him and put it on.
After it was done. Me and him both just chatted throughout the whole time. We fell asleep in each other's arms around one o'clock in the morning. This day had a happy ending. As long as I'm with the person I love. I know I'm going to be happy.
