I was just about to see what we should do next when I got a call from an unknown number. I answered the phone.
"Stay away from her." The voice on the other end said.
"I think you have the wrong number."
"No I don't. Stay away from my girlfriend."
"Who is this?" I asked freaking out.
"Just stay away from Sarah or else." He threatened. Then he hung up.
I looked over at Sarah who was freaking out. I decided not to mention it. I wasn't going to listen to that guy. It probably was just Ken trying to get me to stay away so he can take Sarah.
"So what do you want to do." I asked just as Sarah got a text. She looked down at her phone and gasped.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing. I have to go Isabella needs me." She insisted.
"Okay. Let me just call my dad." I told her as I got out my phone to text my dad.
"I'm sorry about that." She said.
"It's fine, if your friend needs you. I shouldn't get in the way." I reassured her.
I heard her sigh as I walked out the door. "Is something wrong?" I asked.
"Hmm. Oh no. Everything's okay." She said though I didn't believe her.
"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow in school." I said as I walked out.
"Bye." She called out.
I sighed as Matt walked out the door. Isabella didn't need me. I just couldn't put him through this. I decided to call Isabella. I needed to take my mind off it. She picked up after one ring.
I: Hey what's up.
S: Are you doing anything now?
I: No. Not really. Why?
S: Do you want to come over?
I: Sure. Is something wrong?
S: No- Yes.
I: Okay. I'll be over in 5 minutes.
I hung up and started crying. I layed down and calmed down. Soon Isabella was here. I wiped away my tears and opened the door. As soon as Isabella saw me she hugged me. I couldn't hold back the tears. I burst out crying. Isabella walked over to the couch and I followed. We sat down on the couch and I burst into a new round of tears.
"What's wrong?" Isabella asked concerned.
She let me calm down a bit before I answered. "Zayn." I manged to choke out.
"Who's Zayn?" She asked.
"My cousin. He ruins everything!" I screamed throwing a pillow across the room.
"My cousin. He ruins everything!" She screamed as she threw a pillow across the room.
I was so confused. I had no idea who Zayn was and why he ruined everything. I let her cool down before I asked another question.
"What did he do?" I asked.
She sighed and paused for a second. "He's my cousin. I had a huge crush on him a couple of years ago and he liked me too. We dated for a couple of weeks. Then he got to clingy. I tryed breaking up with him but he wouldn't let me." She paused and took a breath. A couple of tears ran down her cheeks. "He started following me and sending me creepy texts. I reported him to the police and they sent a restraining order. I haven't seen him in years but he would always scare away the boys I liked whenever I got close to them. Then today he texted Matt." She broke down again. I felt so bad for her but there was nothing that I could do. I hugged her and rubbed her back. "I-I couldn't let him be involved, s-so I told him to leave."
"I'm so sorry Sarah." I said really worried about her. She cried harder.
"It was the worst decision I've ever made. Why did he have to be related to me." She sobbed.
I let her calm down before talking again. "It's going to be okay. I'll help you. Just let me know of you need to talk about it again."
After about ten minutes she finally stopped crying. "I just hope that he won't ruin this for me."
We decided to watch a movie to get her mind off things. I picked out a funny one and by the time the movie was over I got her to laugh a little. Before we knew it, it was already 6:00.
"Do you want something to eat?" She asked making her way to the kitchen.
"No sorry. I told my mom I'd been home for dinner." I said.
"You weren't home?" She asked.
"Yeah I was over at Yash's house." I told her.
"You said you weren't doing anything."
"Well I had to help you. Yash will still be there tomorrow, you needed me."
"I'm sorry I had to pull you away from your boyfriend." She mocked.
"Well I hope everything works out between you too. Remember if you ever need to talk, I'm here for you." I said as we walked to the door.
"I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks for listening to my issues. I feel bad for piling it all on you." She said.
"Hey. That's what friends are for." I reassured her. "I'll see you tomorrow." I said walking out the door.
