Looking from afar

Sarah has always been a nobody. She does well in school and she has a bunch of friends. Sarah is happy about her life, but nobody knows her in school. There is only one person Sarah wished would notice her. And that was Matt. Will Sarah always be watching from far away or will she find the courage to make something happen?

Yash's POV

After lunch I saw Matt in the hall on his phone. I walked over and waited for him to finish on the phone. "It's not like that." He said into the phone. He paused for a second listening to the person on the other side. "Well maybe we should then! Fine." He yelled then hung up.

"Hey, everything okay?" I asked

"Yeah, it's all good." He said. "What's up?"

"Well I was thinking of asking Isabella out but I didn't want to go alone, so I was thinking you could bring your girlfriend and we could have a double date." I told him.

"Yeah well that sounds great except I don't have a girlfriend anymore." He said.

"O. Okay, I'll go ask Kenny then." I said walking away.

Kenny's POV

I walked into math and sat down next to Yash. "Hey. Matt said you needed to ask me something." I said

"Yeah, I wanted to know if you could come on a double date with me and Isabella." He said.

This was the perfect chance to get Sarah to go out with me. "Sure." I agreed.

After math I ran into Sarah at her locker. "Hey." I said

"What do you want." She replied coldly

I grabbed her bag and walked with her to help her get her violin. "I was wondering if you would go on a double date with-"

"I wouldn't go a date with you-" She stopped talking at looked behind me. "I'll get back to you on that." She said and grabbed her bag and walked away with Isabella. 'Well that was strange.' I thought.

Isabella's POV

I was walking to chamber when I saw Sarah talking to Kenny. I walked closer and hear Kenny asking her to go on a double date with me and Yash. I motioned for her not to say no. She stopped talking and walked over to me. We started walking to chamber together.

"Are you crazy?" She asked me. "You know how much I hate him. Why would you make me go on a double date with him."

"Because, that double date with Yash he was talking about was with me." I told her.

"Yash asked you out! Oh my god congratulations!" She said.

"Yeah well I'm to nervous to go without someone else so I need one of my friends to come along. Can you please say yes. For me." I asked.

"Fine." She sighed. "But you owe me."

When we got to chamber I got my music out and went to get my cello. I sat down next to Yash. "So I was talking to Sarah about our double date and she agreed to go with Kenny." I told him.

"That's great. I think." He said which made me laugh.

Our teacher got up on the podium and we had to be quite.

Sarah's POV

I sat down in the auditorium when we got to chamber because I couldn't play. I took out my phone and texted Matt.

S: Hey. I have something going on on Friday and Saturday I have a wedding to go to in the morning. I'm free at from 12 to 4 on Saturday and all day on Sunday.

A minute later he texted back.

M: Sounds great. I'll come at 12 on Saturday and we'll see how much more time we'll need.

S: K and can u by any chance give me Kenny's number.

M: Y

S: well I have to go on a double date with him for my friend and I don't want to have to tell him in person that I can go

M: Is this friend Isabella

S: Yeah y

M:Well Yash asked me first if I could come with my girlfriend but I said no bc I don't have a girlfriend anymore. If I had known he would ask you I would have went with you. I wouldn't have tp be a date just, friends going with their friends on a double date. Now I feel bad that you have to go with Kenny.

I read his text and was so happy he didn't have a girlfriend anymore. I finally replied.

S: It's ok. It's not as bad if I just ignore him.

M:I'll talk to him too. Just to make sure he doesn't do anything

S:You don't have to do that, I can do it myself

I felt kind of happy that he wanted to protect me from Kenny.

M:no it's fine. I can do it. I'm with him right now.

S: I can't believe you guys are still friends after all that's happened. Guys are so different than girls.

M: Yeah. I guess guys just let things go better than girls

S: That is so offensive

M: Well I have to go now. I'll see you tomorrow
