“Okay class, your assignment for the next week consists of you and a partner.” Mr Ringwald spoke. “Yes, you can pick your partners before you all drown me with the question.”
I looked around the class and sighed, everyone was already looking at someone to be their partner besides from me.
“Go ahead and pick your partners before I explain your task.” Mr Ringwald said.
Michael said my name and I looked over after a few seconds. “Partners?”
I sighed, I really didn’t have antone else to be with so “Why not.” I said plastering a fake smile on my face.
He smirked before we looked back up the front after everyone else quietened down and paid attention.
“Now. I’m guessing from the silence you’ve all picked partners.”
We all nodded and listened for the further instructions. “So, the assignment I have given you consists of one of you spending the night at the other’s house for a whole week. I want you to draw a couple things that you find interesting about their home. For the people who are staying in their home, find something meaningful to draw.”
Wait, so I was meant to stay with Michael for a whole week? I don’t even know the guy. I glanced over at him and he seemed a bit unsure himself.
“This is non-negotiable as this assessment will be graded. If you want to fail, you don’t have to do this.”
I huffed and fell back into my chair. “Yours or mine?” I asked glancing over at Michael.
He shrugged. “How about your place?” I suggested. Michael nodded and looked back up the front.
“When does this assignment start?” I asked.
“Today of course.”
I groaned before the bell went off signalling that the period has ended. We all got up and packed our things away. When I was about halfway down the hall I felt someone stand next to me.
“So, what time are you coming to mine?” Michael smirked.
I shrugged while continuing to walk. “When I’m all packed.” I said looking to my side expecting to see Michael, but he was no where to be seen. A shiver went down my spine as I walked into my next class. I took a seat and glanced over to see Calum looking at me. I gave him a sly smile before taking a seat next to him.
“You know, most people would be terrified of us already. Surprised to see you willing to stay at Michaels.” Calum smirked.
I looked at him weird before speaking. “What do you mean?”
“You’ll find out sooner or later.”
He turned to face the front leaving me there staring at him in shock. What does he mean by I’ll find out sooner or later? I started to get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. Maybe staying at Michaels isn’t a good idea? Was that what Calum was trying to hint at?
“Georgia, you seem a little distracted.” My Science teacher Mrs. White said.
I looked at her and swallowed. “Uh, I’m fine.” I said with a fake smile.
She nodded and continued to talk to the class.
“You know…” Calum started. “You suck at lying.”
I rolled my eyes and huffed. “Whatever.”
He smirked before looking at the front. The whole period consisted of the teacher going on about god knows what and Calum making some remarks about tonight. When the bell finally went we gathered our thing and as I exited the class room Calum walked beside me and bent down.
“See you tonight sweetheart.” He whispered in my ear before walking off.
“What do you mean?” I yelled after him.
He ignored me and continued to walk. I sighed and turned around and immediately turned around bumping into someone.
“Sorry.” I muttered.
“Sis are you alright?” Jonathan asked.
I nodded slowly. “I’m not going to be home all week.”
“Because I have this assignment for Art, where I have to stay at my ‘friends’ house and draw a couple things that are cool or something like that.”
“Who’s house are you staying at?” Jonathan asked
I gulped before catching Michael at the corner or my eyes. He was smirking while leaning on a couple lockers with his arms folded.
“So?” Jonathan asked.
I looked at Jonathan before looking back at where Michael was standing but he wasn’t there.
“Uh, I’m staying at this guy called Michael’s house. You know, the new guy?”
Jonathan seemed unsure. “What one? I know the 4 new guys but what one is he?”
“The one with green hair.”
Jonathan sighed. “Is there anyway you can get out of it? I mean you don’t even know the guy, and I don’t know if I should trust him.”
“I can’t get out of it. Besides if I don’t do it then I’m going to fail.”
Jonathan cursed under his breath. “How long are you staying at Michael’s for?”
He huffed. “You have to call me every night okay.”
I rolled my eyes. “Okay dad.”
He game me a small smile before walking away… That was weird. I shook everything off and walked into the cafeteria.
“Georgia.” Zoe yelled from our table.
I smiled at her before heading over to her. Just as I almost reached the table someone stepped infront of me making me crash into them.
“Do you mind?” I snapped looking up to see Ashton.
“Not really.” He smirked.
I rolled my eyes and stepped to my left which he followed me. “Can I please go to my friend?”
He shook his head.
I shoved past him and took a seat on the table while Ashton’s face went red.
“Watch out Georgia Mae.” He spat through gritted teeth before walking away.
“What was that about?” Zoe asked, confused.
I shrugged. “I have no idea.”
Is this book alright? I hope it is :) haha xoxoxoxo
