10. Chapter 8
I woke up to little paws climbing on my arm. I immediately get up and move away from the mouse.
Last night comes crashing into my head, as I remember everything that had happened. I looked around and saw that light was coming from a window in the corner. I also realized there is a metal pole attached from one side of the building to the other. That must be the thing I hit my head on. Wow I'm stupid. I literally walked into a pole and fell unconscious.
My thoughts were cut off by the grumble on my stomach. I haven't eaten in like forever, but I don't want to go back. I guess I'm back to the old me. I spun around and walked back to the entrance, which actually took a while since I couldn't remember which way I went. But once I got out, I tried to think of any stores that were nearby. I suddenly remembered a little store that I passed by when I was trying to run away from Luke. I headed that way in a run, eager to get some food.
Once I reached the shop I swiftly went inside, and looked through all the isles for something small, yet somewhat yummy. I ended up with taking a bag of chips. I looked around for any workers or cameras, then I quickly stuffed the bag into my sweater. I began to walk towards the door and when I was literally half way out the door I was roughly pulled back. I turned my head to see a guy probably in his mid 20s with his eyebrows raised. "You need to pay for that, you know" he stated mockingly. Ugh, rude people these days. They're actually the definition of stupid. I know I'm not a nice person but I'm not stupid, but, in all seriousness I'm not a rude uneducated sarcastic asshole.
After my little rant in my head I shrugged my shoulders at the guy. He glared at me and started to drag me away from the door into this hallway. He stopped in front of a door and knocked. So I just punched him and ran. Like what would you expect anyway. I was quite far from the store so I slowed down a bit and the guy wasn't following me so I was fine. I took out the bag of chips and ate them slowly as I walked around mindlessly. Ugh of course I just had to get a stupid bag of lays. It's literally 60 percent air and then the chips are so thin that I feel like I'm eating air.
DAMN IT I thought they wouldn't come after me. I looked behind me to see Calum running towards me. Well I probably won't be able to escape now, so I just stood there and waited for Calum while I ate the rest of my chips. When he got arms length away from me he reached out and picked, pulling me into his chest. He kept kissing my forehead as he squeezed the life out of me. "Don't do that ever again! We were all so worried about you." Calum mumbled quietly in my ear. I decided to hug him back but it's not like I missed him or anything, it's just that I don't want to hurt his feeling and I haven't seen him in a long time. Wow I'm really turning into a softie. "Come on I'm taking you home baby" Calum said as he started walking with me still in his arms.
