12. One Whole
I'm coming home from tour today, finally. No more recording left for a bit, no more shows. I can rest and be a good father and husband. I knocked on the door of my home and Anna opened it. "NIALL!" I love it when I havent seen her in a while and I see her for the first time. "Oh Anna." I said as we buried our faces into each other's shoulders. I heard a faint cry from inside. "I'll let you get him." Anna said and I grinned. I walked into my home and went to the baby room and I opened the door. "Hey little boy." I said picking him up and rocking him again.
I held my son for a minute and Anna had taken a picture and posted in on my account. "Good to be home in Mullingar with my baby boy." I said below the picture. I kissed Anna's head and she smiled. "So, how about that place you were going to take me?" She said and I laughed a little. "We'll leave in a few days." I said and she looked at me. "How long are we going to be gone?" She asked. "Only for a week. I want to spend time with Noah before I leave him again." I said and her smile grew even bigger.
"Good. I'll let you take care of Noah until we leave and you must find a plan for him." Anna said and I nodded as she left the door. "Got it, chief." I said and she turned around and rolled her eyes. "You're a goofball, Nialler." She said and I laughed. I walked into the living room and gently put Noah in his blue chair. I stood there, looking at him. He is a piece of me. I wrapped my arms around Anna's waist and she looked me in the eyes. "So, our first year anniversary is this Saturday, can you believe it?" She asked and I shook my head no.
"It's already been a wonderful full year with the girl of my dreams? That's crazy." I said and she nodded. Anna kissed me and I kissed her back, remembering all the good times we've had in the past few years that we've known each other. Now I am married to her, had a child with her, and happy with her. I wish I could show her a way of how much she means to me after all we have gone through, besides a trip. But with Anna, we're one whole heart.
