The kiss only lasted five seconds, then he pulls away.
"Now, what do you want to do?" he asks.
What the fuck just happened?
"Uhh, uhh..." I was shocked.
He just kissed me out of nowhere. And now he's acting like nothing has happened. But really, I enjoyed the kiss. I wonder if we're going to kiss again....
"Let's, go out to eat." I finally say.
"You mean on a date?" he asks, smiling brightly.
"No, we go out to eat because we're hungry."
"Why Charlie! Let's make it a date." he whines.
"No." I say sternly, as if he was my son whining for a new toy.
Luke puts out his bottom lip and gives me puppy dog eyes.
"I'll be you're best friend." he says.
His pouty face was so adorable. I couldn't resist.
"You can call it a date, but I'm not. And you're not my best friend." I mumble.
"So what am I? You're boyfriend?" he smirks.
My face turns red. I shake my head left to right, saying no and to make my hair cover my face.
"You're not my boyfriend. You're my "friend". And friends aren't supposed to take their friends on dates." I say.
"Fine then, be that way."
Luke stomps into my room and slams the door.
Suddenly, I hear a loud thud in my room. I rush into my room and open the door.
"Luke! What hap-"
I find him on the floor, his hands covering his head and face.
"Ow." I hear him say.
"What the hell happened? Are you hurt?"
I bend my knees on the floor and sit down. Luke sniffles quietly.
"You ok?" I ask softly, rubbing his back.
He doesn't answer.
"Let me see your face." I say.
He chuckles, then quietly says, "That could be said in a funny way."
"Luke." I say sternly.
He slowly exposes his face, and I see a purple bruise forming on his left eye.
"Oh my god."
