4. Trevor - The hospital

- Trevor's side -

Emma fainted in my arms after seeing her best friend, Heather, jumping off the school cliff. I carried Emma to the nurses' office. They told me that she fainted because of shock. I put my name as her guardian and when they asked for my relation with her---I put down 'boyfriend' and I gave them my number. I went back to school to see how Heather was. They had just carried her to the E.R and is still doing surgery on her. I met Chris in the hallway and saw him walking normally. "Did you hear about Heather? Man, I'm sorry," I said. "Heather? What?" he asked. "You don't know?" "What is it?" he asked. "She attempted to commit suicide on the top of the school. She kinda succeeded since she did jump down," I said stressed. Chris pulled me to the side and with fiery looks in eyes he told me something shocking. "Last night, I tried to, man," he said touching his head. "To what?" I asked confused. "I tried to have sex with her. I was drunk and I told her that I only wanted to have sex with her 'cause she was a freshman here," he said frustrated. "I didn't know... I didn't know that she was going to commit suicide." I was shocked to hear that my friend actually did this to someone. We all just playing with girls, but we never thought about having sex with them. "Are you serious? Why would you touch a girl without her permission?" I yelled. I knew that he was wrong in this situation. I pushed him and he accepted the push---because he knew he was wrong. He walked away with that look on his face. That look that he knew he did something big wrong. My phone rang and I received a phone call from the doctors saying that Emma woke up. I drove to the hospital and heard Emma screaming at the doctors asking them to tell Heather to come to her. She threw a big fuss and threw stuff around the room. I ran in there. "Emma!" I screamed. She hugged me tight and I could feel her shaking. "Tell me this is a dream, Trevor. Tell me Heather's alive. Tell me, please," Emma said crying while hugging me. "They're still doing surgery on her. Let's just wait for them to say something," I said hugging her tight. She cried and cried on my shoulder as much as she could cry. She then got discharged and I brought her to my place. She slept on the couch for an hour or two. As I was preparing dinner for her to eat---since she didn't eat the whole day, I got a phone call. "Who is it?" Emma asked worried. I picked up the phone. "Thankfully, Heather's surgery went well. She's awake and taking medicines," the nurse said. I thanked her and told Emma and we drove to the hospital. When we arrived, Heather was up and Emma hugged her. Emma cried and also did Heather. "Don't do that again!" Emma said to Heather as she was crying. "She will be discharged in two days," said the doctor. "She just got done doing the surgery, so she still might be in pain." "Thank you so much, sir," I said.
