- Trevor's side -
Me and my buddies---Chris Jackson, Max Dunsmore, and Toby Robertson, love to drink and party all night. We all graduated high school together and are all the same age---21-years-old. I had always wanted to make my own music label with my buddies. Although you can call it nerdy or whatever, we all wanted to do that since 11th grade.
My parents own a food company and my two sisters---Charlotte and Penny, owns a electronic company. My brother, Nick, owns a shipping company. I'm the only one that doesn't own a company since I'm the youngest. My whole family is rich. They get paid about 200,000 in a week. Of course, my house is a 11-bedroom and 12-bathroom house with 4 floors. Although my family is small, we managed to have this whole house due to our richness.
My whole family disapproved my wanting to major in music. They thought that it was no use in life and that it wouldn't bring you money. Of course that's what they think. Mostly everybody in the world that I knew thought it was stupid except me and my buds.
Although I didn't want to go to college, I wanted to major in music. I loved music. Music was my life which is why I never was in a relationship although many girls approached me. Whenever they did, I rejected them.
My buddy, Chris, was going out with a chick named Heather. I had no idea how she looked, but all I knew was that they were apparently in love. But from what I know, my buddy, Chris, doesn't fall in love with girls. He messes their brain and then fools them---just like me, Max, and Toby. The only things we had in common were drinking, girls, and music. Everything was probably not the same.
On the first day of school, I arrived in my chemistry class. I picked chemistry---even though I hated chemistry, because it was a class you had to take before graduating college.
I walked in class with my buddies who also took the class with me. Right when we walked in, Chris waved to his girl, Heather and sat next to her. I sat next to Chris, Max sat next to me, and Toby sat at the end.
"Man, he's lovesick," Max said laughing.
"I know. I mean does he even like her?" asked Toby.
"Didn't you hear?" Max asked.
"What?" I asked.
"He doesn't even like her. Remember Alexa?" said Max.
"Alexa Torson?" I asked.
"Yeah, her. After Chris slept with her, he pushed her away,"
'"Damn," I said.
"Hey, guys," said Chris getting our attention. "This is Heather. Heather, this is Trevor, Max, and Toby."
"Nice to meet you," Heather said smiling brightly. "This is my best friend, Emma. Emma Charles," Heather said while she moved backward.
"Hi," Emma said shyly.
"Nice to meet you," I said first.
"Same to you," Emma said smiling. Max hit by shoulder and started giggling with Toby.
The teacher arrived and introduced himself. His name was Richard Andre, he was tall---probably about 6 ft, and he looked like he was in his mid-forties.
"Because I'm aware that all of you already know some chemistry stuff, you'll have to memorize this book that I wrote, and you'll have to take a quiz online about it. You may choose your partners," Richard Andre said.
"Max, you're my partner," said Toby while punching Max.
And of course---Chris and Heather partnered up. I was left alone because all of my buddies already were partners.
Then, Emma came up to me holding her backpack.
"Want to be partners?" she asked shyly.
"Sounds good," I said trying to act cool. "Scoot over," I said as I pushed Max.
Max and Toby scooted over one chair and Emma sat next to me.
Richard Andre passed the papers to the class and me and Emma sat in quiet.
She first talked.
"So what do you want to major in?" Emma asked while looking at the paper. Her brown hair laid on top of her shoulders.
"I want to major in music. How about you?" I asked curious. I've never been curious to someone before.
"I want to major in fashion," she said smiling. Her smile killed me.
Why was I embarrassed? I was never like this to another girl.
"Fashion? That's nice. Like your own label?" I asked.
"Yeah. It's like you read my mind," she said while starring at me. Her blue eyes shined. "Music sounds like a nice major," she said smiling. I never met someone who thought that majoring in music was nice.
"You think it's nice?" I asked smiling. "Like really?"
"Of course. I mean... it's what you want to major in, so it's what you like," she said shyly smiling.
"My whole family think it's stupid. Like literally," I said annoyed.
"Well, it seems like they don't know you as much to accept that you want to major in music," she said stroking her hair.
"Thanks. I mean it," I said smiling. I never smiled to a girl before. Why was I like this?
"So let's study," she said looking back at her paper. "So many terms," she said stressed.
"It's okay. We can do it," I said.
"Of course we can. If we try," Emma said not giving up.
At school, we promised to meet each other at my place at 6:30PM to study. I left home at 4:00. For two hours and 30 minutes, I played with my guitar, piano, and patiently waited for Emma to come. I was excited for some reason and kept looking at my watch for when it was time.
It hit 6:20 and I heard a knock at the door.
I opened the door and saw Emma standing there. She was so beautiful that words couldn't even explain. She was wearing a nude colored blouse tucked in black jeans. She was wearing black toms too.
"Wow, you look beautiful," I managed to get out embarrassed. "I mean---"
"Thank you. You look nice too," she said smiling.
"Come on in," I said moving aside.
"Thanks," she said as she walked in. When she passed me, she smelt like cherry blossoms. I could tell that she was wearing a cherry blossom perfume.
When she walked in my humongous house, she sat down on the couch crossing her legs. She opened her backpack and took out her chemistry guide.
