7. Emma - A confession?

- Emma's side -

This was the first time I've ever been at a club. All I saw were bright lights, girls on poles, and cash---everywhere. After Heather and Chris left, me and Trevor were left alone.

I felt uncomfortable, weird, and like a loner. Me, out of the three, has never been to a club.

"So," Trevor first said. "Emma...,"

"Trevor?!" a woman asked behind us.

Me and Trevor looked over to where she stood. It was a woman in her early twenties. She was wearing a red lace dress that looked expensive and black heels. She had red lipstick on and intense makeup. Her hair was curled too.

"It is you, Trevor," she said hugging him slowly. "And who's this?" she asked looking at me.

Trevor looked uncomfortable and I felt uncomfortable. "It's---"

"You should know that me and Trevor are in a relationship. We've been dating ever since four months ago when he came here drunk and slept with me," she said sounding confident.

"Jennifer!" Trevor screamed. He rolled his eyes and put his hand on his forehead.

I felt super uncomfortable to be here, in a place that I didn't even want to be.

"I...I...," I stuttered trying to figure out what to say.

I couldn't do anything and just left out of the club stomping my feet. For some weird, dumb, reason, tears were flowing from my eyes. I tried to stop it---but it wouldn't stop.

I tried calling a cab, but no one was available around town. Then, a man grabbed me by the hand and pushed me to the wall. It was Toby.

He grabbed me and pushed me to the wall under a street light. I screamed out of fear.

He smelt like beer, and a big tense of girls perfume. He also had red lipstick on his face and hickies on his neck.

"Oh, my God!" I screamed.

"Emma?" he asked laughing horrifically.

"Let me go," I said staring at him and trying to keep calm.

"No," he said giggling. "No."

He came towards me and started touching me around my body.

"Let me go, you bastard!" I screamed as I tried to push him.

He shot his hand up my shirt and I yelled for help.

Just then, a man punched Toby on the face. Toby fell with blood in his mouth. The man was Trevor. Trevor sat on Toby's chest, punching the crap out of his face.

I stood there in fear, not knowing what to do. All I could do was cry.

Trevor punched Toby until Toby almost became unconscious.

Trevor stood up breathing heavily. He came towards me. I stepped away, scared.

I walked away, crying.

He jogged towards me.

"Emma. I'm sorry," he said, stepping in front of me so I couldn't walk any further. I couldn't even tell him to move or to get out of my way. Before I could say anything, he put his sweatshirt around me and hugged me. He put my head on his chest.

"Don't cry," he said kissing my forehead. "Please don't leave me."

He pulled me from his chest and looked straight at my eyes.

"I slept with Jennifer. Once. But that was it. I won't sleep with anyone again or fuck with anyone again. But please tell me that you won't leave me. After Heather was in the hospital, every single day, I couldn't stop thinking of you. Your smile, our memories, everything. Please promise me that you won't leave," Trevor said with tears in his eyes.

I stared at both of his grey eyes. It's like... I felt his heart.

"I need some time to think," I said backing away. "Please."

Trevor backed away with tears in his eyes.

In an uncomfortable situation, I walked away.

I walked for about two minutes or so until I heard Trevor's voice.

"Get in!" he said looking at me. He was in his Toyota green car. He was driving slowly next to me and watching the street. "Get in!" he kept saying.

Because I was scared of walking alone at night after what just happened, I hopped in his car.

When I got in his car, he smiled.

"Now that's like you," he said, smiling.

"Take me to your place," I said.

"My... my place?" he asked, confused. "Why?"

"Just go."

Hearing this, Trevor zoomed through the streets reaching for his place.
