Who killed the bassist?

Maia was a mistake in her school. Super clumsy and all.

One day she makes a total fool in front of Calum Hood. That is... If he was awake during that.

Calum wakes up with a severe case of amnesia and Maia hides him with her while the world searches for the supposedly "dead bassist"

1. chapter 1

(Maia's POV)

"Maia!" Chelsea snapped in my face, "you alive??"

"What? I asked snapping back to reality.

"I asked if you're going to the dance?" Chelsea repeated.

"Oh uhm... Yeah totally..." I looked back over to Daniel, the most beautiful creature in the school.

"MAIA LISTEN!" Chelsea slapped my arm after about a minute of my observation. I dropped my books in surprise. "Just talk to him already," she rolled her eyes and we both kneeled down to pick up my books.

"Nah," I shook my head, "I'll screw that up within two seconds."

"I have faith in you, just talk to him," Chelsea smiled at me reassuringly, "Maybe he'll ask you to the dance this Friday." She handed me my algebra book.

"Do I have to?" I sighed standing back up with all my books I'm hand.

"Yes now go!" I was pushed over to Daniel. He stopped his conversation with his friend and looked at me with those beautiful brown eyes.

"Yes?" Daniel stared at me expectingly, his tiny lisp from the braces he just got put on. I felt my heart fall to my stomach and heard it beat out from my ass. I didn't know what to say, or do, I suck at talking to cute guys.

"PANIC!" I squealed covering my face with my science text book and folded into turtle mode.

"MAIA!" Chelsea face palmed helping me up. I opened my eye and Daniel was gone. "You need to stop panicking around him, he's gonna think you're a freak."

"You say that like I'm not a freak," I chuckled and started walking to class slipping on a pencil and falling straight on my ass. "Ow!" I groaned

"Oh Maia, maia, maia, what on earth will I do with you?" Chelsea shook her head helping me up YET AGAIN.

"Nothing," I shrugged. "I was born to be an epic fail."

"Alright, so you all jog the track four times for the mile under fifteen minutes or you fail," Mr. Dick of a teacher said. "Go!"

I started to job slowly, being passed by every grade. I was the worst runner EVER.

I finally finished that lap and went for the second. Already out of breath I jogged even slower. My lungs were on fire, my heart losing beats. The instrument known as my body was going out of tune and the rhythm was not going in time with the beat of my non-working heart. After just one lap. Damn I was so out of shape!

"One more Jones!" My gym teacher called to me, as I'm the last person on my third lap. Just before I reached my full fourth lap, I tripped over air. I tumbled about ten times then I felt a burning sensation in my knee.

"Ow!" I groaned to myself holding my knee.

"Finish the lap Jones!" The teacher called. I hate you! I used the fence to pull me up and hopped over to the teacher.

"Can I please go to the nurse?" I begged in pain.

"What's the nurse gonna do? Give you an ice pack? Suck it up!" he rolled his eyes. You're kidding my right?? I sat down on the bench to play softball with the class. Someone sat next to me and I got sudden butterflies.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I just nodded.

"Teacher is just an asshole," I shrugged.

"Aw I know. He's strict and heartless," the boy chuckled. I just stared at the turf below me.

"Daniel you're up," the teacher called as the boy next to me stood up and went off. I looked up. I just sitting next to Daniel. Damn why didn't I know?? Stupid Maia!!

"Maia, just face it, you're nothing but an epic fail up every guy in this school," Chelsea told me honestly.

"At least I haven't made a fool out of myself in front of 5 Seconds Of Summer right?" I laughed.

Hey sorry first chapter was suckish!

I just wanted to show the point that Maia is a bit of a fail, her life doesn't exactly go her way. You know? Next chapters will of course have 5 Seconds Of Summer I promise okay?
