Every second, every minute, every hour, my mind would wander to the blonde hair superhero.
I couldn't get him out of my mind. No matter what, he would be in my head.
Trying to distract myself, I strolled around an unknown part of the town. It was dark and suspicious people loitered around.
Holding my purse tight to me, I try not stand out but with my flashy clothes in these grey, dull buildings, I don't think I succeeded.
Then I slammed into a wall and fell to the ground. "Ow!"
"Oh sorry," I glanced up and saw a person with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes.
Warmth spread on my cheeks. "No it was my fault,"
"No. It was clearly my fault." The stranger said.
"No way!" I said. "Totally my fault."
"Why don't we agree it was both of our faults?" He suggested and I nodded to agree.
I blushed once more. "Yeah, I agree."
Then an awkward silence filled the air. "You know, you look quite familiar."
He then slightly laughs, with a hint of nervousness. "No ones ever said that to me before."
"Well, I'm Adalyn (Ad-a-Lyn)." A small smile stretched on my face.
"My name is Luke." He grinned. "Pleasure to meet you."
"The pleasure is mine."
"Um, well, do you want to hang some day." He started to blush. "You don't have to. I mean, you can if you want. I know we just met."
"I'd love to."
"Well, there is a small beach bonfire tomorrow with my mates and I, you can come along." Said Luke.
I nodded. "Sure. It'll be fun."
"Can you give me your phone for a sec," said Luke and he took my phone out of my hand.
He typed something in and gave it back. "Call me and by the way the bonfire is at seven." He said before rushing off.
Slipping on a two-piece turquoise swimwear, I tied my hair in a messy bun. Then I put on some jean shorts and a black tank top.
Deciding to walk there, I putted on some beach sandals and walked out. The sun was shining and birds were chirping happily.
The beach was nearby so it didn't take long before I reached there. I saw Luke and his group of friends mucking around on the sand.
"Hi." I shyly waved at Luke.
"You came!" He said and wrapped his arms around me. "Guys, this is Adalyn."
"Hey Adalyn." A black hair boy said. "I'm Calum."
"This is Michael." Luke introduced and showed me to the person who had colourful streaks in his hair.
"Last but not least, Ashton." Luke introduced me to the boy who had slightly curly, brown hair.
"That's me!" He smiled brightly at me and I returned one back.
"Now let's get the party started!" Calum screeched and I laughed at him.
"Last one in the water is a rotten egg." Ashton said before leaping out of his clothes and racing to the sea.
I peeled off my clothes and joined Ashton, giggling.
Once all the boys jumped in, water splashed all over my face.
We swum a little, splashing each other.
Once the stars started to appear, we roasted marshmallows at the bonfire. It was a terrific day, to sum it all up.
Once it was time to go, I said goodbye to all the guys.
"I had loads of fun." A grin plastered on my lips. "Thank you for inviting me."
"But thank you for coming." Luke beamed.
"We should do this more often." I said.
Luke nodded. "I agree. We should."
"Okay, I got to go now, so goodbye." I lightly pecked his cheeks which left him looking like a tomato.
